Design studio in Mumbai and Rotterdam set up by Robert Verrijt and Shefali Balwani focusing primarily on the fields of architecture, interior and sustainable design. The Shoe Closet & Powder Bathrooms designed within a compact layout, features a double-sided limestone-clad vanity accented with warm wood detailing and a floating mirror that adds lightness to the space.
Functional elements include stone storage cubbies for footwear and a nook with a rough-edge limestone bench.
A limestone floor with small format pieces in a leather finish with tumbled edges, adds texture and depth.

Sculpted forms, a custom desk, textured stone shelving and fluted wood cabinetry come together to create a tactile first impression in the reception area.
A calm palette of stucco, wood, stone, and terrazzo set a cohesive tone that flows throughout the space.

The furniture becomes part of the architecture - softened curves and bespoke pieces echoing the geometry of AUM, shaping a seamless and non-hierarchical experience.

AUM Life is conceived as an urban ashram and envisioned as a cohesive sequence of environments where wellness is experienced through the rhythm of the layout.

The plan unfolds as a continuum, moving fluidly between introspective and collective zones. This spatial journey echoes the convergence of A, U, and M - translating the principles of creation, preservation, and transformation.

The branding of ‘AUM’ plays a pivotal role in shaping the various elements of the space. Upon entering, one is immediately drawn & aligned to the curves, which are abstracted and articulated as a key design language throughout the project in different scales & proportions.

A distinctive feature within the space is a bespoke hanging light designed and crafted in brass and solid wood, elegantly suspended above the reception table.
