Parkinson’s Law of "work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion” applies to our spaces as well. It is human nature to fill up the time and space available to us. So you may want to look around your homes, do you have more furniture for people or things? Like the say, ‘love people, use things.’

I hope you didn’t let Black Friday sales get the better of you. Question the purchase, ask yourself would you buy it if it weren’t on a discount? If the answer is yes, then it’s something you really want and appreciate. If it’s a no, it doesn’t belong in your home :)

Every home is different, every person is different, everyone’s needs are different. For eg, I’d put sugar, sugar and then some more sugar on this stand 😜 that’s been created for immediate access of the most frequently used things for this client.

Organising this little client’s soft toys reminded me of the time when I would host birthday parties for my soft toys. I took them so seriously and there was a full high tea situation 😍 More importantly I remember my little cabinet that used to be under the ironing table mom got custom made. It was home for ALL my toys. Once we were done with our play dates we had an agreement we’d help each other put back the toys before to our respective going homes. If not, God help you the next time I’m over at yours to play 🤪 I also learned our moms had orchestrated that 🤭 Don’t know about the others but turned out well for me 😎

Resurfacing an old Rakhi post:

Rakshabandhan is over, the sweets have been eaten, the generous money envelopes given by your loving brothers have been spent. However, the Rakhi remains. In a drawer, maybe still on your coffee table, hidden in a box somewhere...I don’t know, you tell me!? For those of you who are not aware, a lumba is a Rakhi tied to the wife of your brother once he’s married. It’s the sisters acknowledgment and gesture towards her sister in law to be her brothers companion and support through all the times he will be there for her. I got my first lumba this year and no way was I dumping it somewhere. So there you go ladies and gentlemen, tie those Rakhis and lumbas on your hangers. You will see them everyday, you will think of the person who tied it to you everyday and it will for you everyday. Not once a year, EVERYDAY.
