It started with a question:
How do you design an airport that belongs to Assam — yet stands tall on the world stage?

Bamboo gave us strength.
Orchids gave us grace.
Nature gave us purpose.

“The Forest Remembers”

The Timber Pavilion designed by Nudes serves as a testament to our commitment to pushing the boundaries of sustainable architecture through rigorous material and technology research.Central to the conception of the Timber Pavilion is the exploration of materials, with the role of timber as a sustainable option for construction. Timber is a renewable resource that can be harvested and replanted sustainably. Unlike non-renewable materials such as concrete and steel, which require significant energy inputs for production, timber can be regrown and harvested in a relatively short period of time. Trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere as they grow, effectively sequestering carbon within the wood fibres. When timber is used in construction, it continues to store carbon for the life of the building, helping to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases. This emphasis on sustainable materiality not only aligns with our ecological ethos but also under scores the potential of conscientious material selection in architectural design.

POLL QUESTION : Should more public buildings be made from timber?

InhabiTENT designed by Nudes reimagines living spaces as sanctuaries for rest, reflection, and connection with nature. Designed as a villa in Alibagh, the project revolves around three serene courtyards that serve as the heart of the home. Each courtyard creates a seamless dialogue between indoor and outdoor spaces, inviting light, air, and greenery into the living areas.

The design extends vertically with a landscaped roof, offering a contemplative escape above the villa. This rooftop becomes an elevated haven, where moments of pause and tranquility coexist with sweeping views of the surrounding environment.

InhabiTENT is more than a house; it’s a mindful exploration of how architecture can nurture both the body and soul.

“Commute to Community”
The Jamsu Bridge pedestrianisation project designed by Nudes aspires to become a beacon of sustainable urban development, fostering connectivity, community engagement, and harmony with nature. By transforming a functional structure into an inclusive, multi-faceted landmark, this endeavour aligns with the principles of social well-being, environmental stewardship, and cultural enrichment that define the future of urban spaces in South Korea.
The proposed pedestrianisation of the Jamsu Bridge presents an exciting opportunity to transform an existing urban infrastructure into an iconic landmark that embodies both innovative design and sustainable technologies. This project aims to redefine the bridge’s role from a mere transport corridor to a vibrant, multi-functional space that fosters community engagement, recreation, and sensory connection with the Han River.
Harmony between nature, technology, and human ingenuity, the project exemplifies how urban infrastructure can transcend its functional role, serving as a canvas for art, a haven for nature, a showcase of technology, and a testament to sustainability. This concept envisions a bridge that fosters unity, innovation, and a harmonious coexistence between urban life and the natural world, setting a precedent for responsible and thoughtful urban development.

By pedestrianising the Jamsu Bridge, we aim to restore a tangible connection between people and the river that holds deep cultural significance. The project recognises the bridge as a symbolic thread that weaves together the past, present, and future of South Korea’s urban fabric.

Thrilled to unveil our latest creation - design of a mosque that seamlessly blends tradition, innovation, and the rich heritage of Hyderabad

Our design draws inspiration from the interplay of light and Islamic geometric patterns, creating a serene space that resonates with spirituality and architectural brilliance.

Crafted with locally sourced materials like stone and granite, our mosque stands as a testament to the beauty of indigenous skills. Every element tells a story, weaving together the past and present in a symphony of design and devotion.

Join us on this journey of cultural celebration!

From Commute to Community - Transforming Jamsu Bridge into a Sustainable Urban Oasis

The Jamsu Bridge pedestrianisation project aspires to become a beacon of sustainable urban development, fostering connectivity, community engagement, and harmony with nature.
The concept of “Riverside Renaissance: Bridging Communities Through Jamsu Pedestrianisation” embodies a transformative vision that transcends the traditional role of a bridge. The Jamsu Bridge, once a mere conduit for vehicles, is poised to become a dynamic urban hub that reconnects people with the natural beauty of the Han River and fosters a sense of unity among communities.
