Form, guided by philosophy.

The design of the Jain Heritage Museum is informed by mandala geometry and the spatial rhythm of the Ranakpur Jain Temple.
Trees on site are preserved in keeping with ahimsa, shaping the built form.
At the ground level, a large courtyard and water body create a serene and porous public interface, guiding movement and pause.

The inauguration of the Samrat Samprati Museum in Koba Ahmedabad by the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi.
Sharing our elation as we dressed up and connected with all our collaborators and the wonderful Trustees who had so much faith in us through the lofty ambitions of this project.

The architecture of the newly inagurated Samrat Samprati Museum is designed to represent the core tenets of Jainism as faithfully as the collection of artefacts it houses.

The stilted ground floor is designed as an engaging public space before one encounters the galleries above. The white cubical form is punctuated at the centre with a courtyard that gently holds a water body and preserved trees. The pristine whiteness of the form, the stillness of water, and the presence of magnificent trees craft a serene atmosphere that inspires awe and evokes the Jain virtues of austerity and restraint.

Seven galleries across two upper floors are designed as distinct and immersive storytelling
spaces that refuse the neutrality of the white-box model, using colour, light, scale, and form to represent complex esoteric concepts and guide visitors intuitively through the space.
