We are honoured to share that Bhoomija Creations has received a High Commendation at the UN-Habitat – UIA 2030 Award | Third Cycle, organised by UN-Habitat and the International Union of Architects, in Category 5 — Access to Green and Public Space.

Our project Śhālā Twam – A Space for You was recognised for its commitment towards inclusive, accessible and people-centric public spaces aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

This recognition continues our journey after receiving a Commendation in the previous cycle under the Affordable Housing category.

We sincerely thank Neelima for trusting us with the project and giving us the freedom to shape it with meaning and sensitivity.

Thankful to everyone who worked on this project and contributed towards making it a reality.

“Gaea”, which literally translates to the personification of Mother Earth, is designed as if the earth came up and branched out into making tiny spaces for its natural inhabitants. “Gaea” is a cob house and that gave us the flexibility to beautifully architect hand sculpted spaces overcoming the pragmatics of other building materials in this regard. It was our humble attempt to create a house that lives, that it returns to mother earth after its life, that it becomes life again, like any organism that breathes!

We’re deeply grateful to share that Bhoomija has been shortlisted for the Third Cycle of the prestigious UIA–UN Habitat 2030 Award — an honour recognising architectural work aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. 💗

This marks the second consecutive time we’ve had the privilege of being shortlisted.
This year, our project Shala-Twam (A Space for You) has been recognised in the category ‘Access to Green and Public Spaces.’ A space envisioned for community, learning, and shared belonging. 💞

Thankful to all who have been part of this journey — our team, partners, and the larger community that continues to encourage us. 🙏🏻✨

The winners will be announced from 18–22 May 2026 at the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Azerbaijan.❤️
