Project Description: Bamboo Waste Upcycling Unit at Moharli Gate, Tadoba

The Bamboo Waste Upcycling Unit at Moharli Gate, Tadoba is a pioneering initiative jointly developed by the Forest Department and the Bamboo Research and Training Centre (BRTC), Chichpalli, with operational management entrusted to the Grampanchayat, Moharli. This project represents India’s first-ever waste segregation and upcycling facility constructed using bamboo, setting a benchmark in sustainable architecture and community-driven waste management.

The unit is designed to function as a waste segregation and upcycling hub where garbage collected from villages and nearby resorts will be systematically processed. The waste will be segregated into categories, and suitable materials will undergo upcycling into innovative, marketable products. These value-added products will then be sold, generating livelihood opportunities for local villagers and artisans.
The bamboo-based structure itself stands as an eco-friendly model, showcasing the versatility and strength of bamboo in modern infrastructure.

This bamboo pavilion is constructed for "Krushik" The Biggest Live Agriculture Demo 2020, Baramati.
The pavilion is a composite bamboo structure composed of 6 elements (bamboo leaf). With the use of local as well as different species of Bamboo found in Maharashtra. This structure spans across 10M X 6M. paraboloid bamboo structure, which itself is an example of possibilities in bamboo Architecture.

India's largest Agri summit 11th Agro vision exhibition. The pavilion is a composite bamboo structure composed of 18 elements(bamboo leaf). with using local bamboo as well as different species from Maharashtra. This structure spanning 5M X 20M and central height 6M. paraboloid bamboo structure itself is an example of Possibilities in bamboo Architecture.
