Maldives is a country of islands with corals, white sand beaches and vegetation. The design reflects all this by putting the building into water body tiled with coral patterns on it. Rough white quartzite stone for porches, sit outs, driveways resembling with white sand beaches. The driveway avenue with palm trees and porch columns in Red sandstone with the pattern resembling coconut palm stem respects the landscape of the country and the emblem tree. White sand stone cladded walls with the hues of sea green glazed handmade tiles for the VIP floor of Chancery building is the respect given to the local coral stone masonry and colours in landscape.
The entrance gateway on axis of Chancery building is on the planning concept of Utheemu palace campus. It creates a ceremonial entry to the arrival court of the Chancery building. The design reflects the cortile planning as seen in Maldivian as well as Indian traditional architecture. The design also respects the economy, art and culture of Maldives by highlighting DHONI shaped exposed concrete roof over the Chancery building creating volume for VIP area.
The building stands iconic reflecting Maldivian Economy, art, culture and Landscape creating corporate ambience to the indoor spaces.
