The balconies at Dune House are not just an extension of the interior—it is a space where material exploration finds its most tactile expression. The process of laying terracotta brick pavers becomes an exercise in patience, precision, and curiosity.

Terracotta, in its essence, carries a certain honesty. It responds to light, deepens with time, and connects the space back to the earth it originates from. In a balcony that mediates between inside and outside, this choice becomes especially significant—softening the threshold while grounding the experience.

The living & dining room at Dune House is shaped as much by process as it is by design. What reads today as calm and effortless is the result of a deeply considered journey—where every material, junction, and proportion was resolved with intent.

An earthy palette anchors the space—muted plasters, warm woods, and tactile finishes that ground the room in a quiet sense of permanence. These materials do not seek attention; they age gracefully, holding memory within their textures.

Sunlight, however, becomes the defining layer. Streaming through expansive windows, it moves across the room like a slow narrative—softening edges, revealing grain, and bringing warmth to every surface it touches. Where the home exhales—into landscape, light, and quiet continuity.

The threshold between built form and landscape is often where architecture finds its most poetic expression. At Dune House, this transition is neither abrupt nor defined—it is gently dissolved.

The garden becomes a mediating plane, a pause between intimacy and openness. It holds moments of stillness—a chair beneath the paved portico, the subtle sound of a fountain, the filtered light through foliage—before the eye is led further outward, toward the expansive calm of the golf course beyond.

Materiality reinforces this dialogue. Earth-toned plaster, textured stone, and verdant planting work in quiet harmony, ensuring that the transition from interior to exterior feels cohesive and unforced. The architecture does not compete with nature; it aligns with it.

Certain spaces don’t open outward—they draw you inward, only to gift you a horizon.

Tucked beneath the sloping roof, this attic at Dune House redefines what it means to inhabit the in-between. What could have been a residual space is instead carefully articulated into a sanctuary—intimate in scale, yet expansive in experience.

The architecture leans into its geometry. The pitched ceiling is not concealed but celebrated—its timber-lined planes converging to frame a singular, arresting aperture. This large, gridded window becomes the soul of the space, choreographing a quiet dialogue between interior stillness and the vastness beyond.

From here, the view unfolds gently—water stretching into the distance, sky dissolving into soft gradients of light. It is a scene that changes with time, yet always feels constant. The attic, in this moment, becomes less a room and more a threshold—where one can pause, reflect, and simply exist alongside the landscape.

The material palette remains grounded and tactile. Woven textures, low seating, and muted tones create a sense of ease—allowing the body to relax, the mind to wander. Some rooms don’t try hard to impress—they simply feel like they belong to you.

This bedroom at Dune House is conceived as a quiet canvas—where earth, light, and craft come together in a language of restraint. The palette leans into soft, sun-warmed neutrals, allowing the space to feel grounded yet weightless, as though it has gently settled into its surroundings over time.

Sunlight becomes an active participant in the architecture. It filters in softly, washing the walls in a muted glow—revealing textures, deepening tones, and lending the room a sense of calm continuity through the day. Nothing feels abrupt; everything transitions with a quiet rhythm.

Hand painted wall mural by local artists brings an organic narrative to the room, where delicate botanicals and fleeting birds unfold across the walls. It is not merely an aesthetic layer, but an extension of the landscape outside—blurring the boundary between built form and nature, between art and architecture.

What if a room could hold the warmth of earth, the poetry of craft, and the intimacy of morning light—all in a single breath?

In this chapter of ‘Dune House’ ,the bedroom unfolds as a quiet dialogue between materiality and memory. The exposed brick clad wall—composed in a precise herringbone weave—anchors the space with a tactile honesty that feels both grounded and deeply human. Its rich, earthen tonality frames the intricately carved patina finished bed, where each hand-chiseled flourish becomes a narrative of time, patience, and heritage.

Light drifts across the surface, tracing soft gradients on the carved motifs, revealing new shadows and contours through the day. The recessed arch niches add sculptural punctuation—moments where architecture pauses, creating balance and rhythm within the composition.

The ensuite extends this crafted language. Patterned flooring meets terracotta in a harmonious collision of geometry and texture.

Where sunlight turns stillness into a story.

In the bedroom of ‘Dune House’ ,calm arrives long before you do. Morning light drapes itself across the chevron flooring, catching the warmth of wood, cane, and fabric with a softness that feels almost instinctive. The room seems to inhale and exhale with the sun—its mood shifting gently through the day, yet always returning to stillness.

The hand-illustrated scenic wallpaper from becomes the room’s quiet storyteller.

A sepia-toned journey through palms, plains, and desert travellers—its presence feels almost meditative, offering a landscape to wake up to and a memory to fall asleep beside. This garden pavilion at ‘Dune House’ is where nature and architecture speak in the same tone — warm, grounded, and unhurried. The thatched roof, light in its materiality yet rooted in craft, settles gently into a landscape composed like a poem — every leaf, shadow, and breeze choreographed in quiet dialogue with the built form.
