ഇരുപതോളം നോവലുകൾ എഴുതിയിട്ടുള്ള ഉണ്ണി, മനോരമ ആഴ്ചപ്പതിപ്പിൽ എഴുതിയ കടപ്പുറം എന്ന നോവൽ പിന്നീട് "തുമ്പോളി കടപ്പുറം' എന്നപേരിൽ സംവിധായകൻ ജയരാജ് സിനിമയാക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
