, also called , the use of undressed, rough stone, generally in the construction of walls. Dry-stone random rubble walls, for which rough stones are piled up without mortar are the most basic form.

An intermediate method is coursed rubble walling, for which stones are roughly dressed and laid in courses. Snecked rubble features stones of varying sizes with small fillers or snecks between them.

As shown in image, Uncoursed roughly dressed random rubble masonry is used for raising the plinth of the house. Cement Mortar is used to bond these stones to each other for a strong base atop which the brick work rises.

Laying down the steel reinforcements for plinth beam.

A plinth beam is generally provided at natural ground level or ground floor level. This acts as a tie to the column between the footings and the first floor level or the first tie beam. Further the partition walls if any are to be built at ground floor, they are raised from the top of the plinth beam. The void between the foundation and the plinth level is filled with compacted soil. Brick or stone masonary is usually constructed below the plinth beam.
