Dropcity in Milan was a completely different experience.
Not an exhibition of finished objects — but a glimpse into what the future could become.

The projects displayed there revealed the depth of architectural thinking and detailing happening across Milan and Italy today. One could spend hours simply observing the drawings, materials, processes, and precision behind the work.

But what fascinated me even more were the laboratories and experimental spaces — people working on biofabric, adaptive materials, garments that expand, installations exploring movement, sound, biotechnology, and human interaction.

It felt less like a gallery and more like a living research ground where expression and experimentation mattered more than display.

An intersection of technology, art, architecture, and imagination — where people are not merely presenting the past, but actively shaping what comes next.

I took my time there. And I truly enjoyed every moment of it.

Visiting The Line Gallery during Milan Design Week was deeply inspiring.
A single material — interpreted through seven distinct minds — became a study of philosophy, emotion, impermanence, ritual, and chance.

To witness these sculptures together, carved from the same stone yet carrying completely different meanings, felt like observing how design is never just about material… but about the mind behind it.

Kengo Kuma explored impermanence.
Claudio Silvestrin created O**m — a sacred stone presence.
Bernard Khoury narrated a story of chance, where the last bullet takes a life.

And beautifully curated by Francesco Librizzi with Casone.

Bravo. Milan continues to remind us that design is not object-making alone — it is thought, memory, and meaning made tangible.
