The coronavirus has confined more than 3 billion people to their homes, almost half of the world's population. This unprecedented situation has emptied the cities and given us apocalyptic images, with no people at the streets, squares and parks.
Citymakers in association with various organisations such as Area Metropolitana de Barcelona, Urban Frame, Mozaic, IIID Vadodara Regional Chapter, IUDI Karnataka Chapter & Universidad de Costa Rica is organising a webinar titled "Recovering the right to the city in Post-Pandemic: What about public space?"

aSDF_Mobility Challenge workshop was in collaboration with the government. It presented design opportunities focused on developing new perspectives on mobility, to rethink and re-frame approaches to site-specific problems. World Smart City Awards 2019

The street furniture camp ideated and curated by Meraki Design Studio was awarded the ‘SPECIAL MENTION’ recognition at the World Smart City Awards organised by World Smart City Congress 2019 on 20th November 2019 at Barcelona, Spain.
A total of 450 qualified entires for this edition came from 54 countries worldwide and were of exceptionally high standard and 28 finalists were shortlisted in about 7 categories.
The innovative idea award was awarded for the concept of ‘STREET FURNITURE CAMP’ for contributing and achieving multi -stakeholder participation for a sustainable integrated development in cities.
The Awards Ceremony is one of the most important activities of this global event, where pioneering city strategies, projects and ideas are recognised based on innovation, relevance, impact, scope of implementation, citizen engagement, co-creation, inclusivity, feasibility, replicability, multi-stakeholder collaboration, amongst other aspects.

We thank all the stakeholders and participants involved in the making & realising the Street Furniture Camp at Vadodara.

Extremely pleased to announce that we won the 1st prize in the Cera washroom design challenge 2018. Our proposal for a public space washroom was given the nod by the eminent jury members.
Ar. Priyank shah of Meraki design studio represented the firm to be felicitated at the award function held at Taj GVK on 20thnseptember,2018.

It was a creatively fulfilling experience to work on the competition design. Designing and creating quality public spaces is one of the core focus of our studio. This award enthuses us to continue working on these lines and serving the social responsibilities of an architect.
