Dear Architects, Faculties & Students of Architecture,

Yeh duniya ek sheher hai, aur hum uske architect! On this World Architecture Day 2024, hum sab milkar “Empowering the Next Generation in Participatory Urban Design” ka celebration kar rahe hain. Yeh theme hum sabko yaad dilata hai ki naye architect ki soch, naye zamane ka sheher bana sakti hai.

“Kehte hain agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaho, toh puri kainaat usse tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai,” just like this, aapke passion se cities ko sustainable, inclusive aur beautiful bana sakte ho. Young architects jaise aap, naye ideas aur fresh perspectives se duniya ko nayi roshni de sakte ho. It's your time to shine and create urban spaces jo sirf buildings nahi, communities banayein.

“Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost!” There’s so much more you can contribute! Aap sab ki zimmedaari hai ki urban planning aur design mein innovation lao, community ko include karo, aur har insaan ko sense of belonging do. Yeh sheher aapke sapnon ka canvas hai, use aise rangon se bhar do jo hamesha yaad rahein.

Architecture Breaking News: Zaha Hadid Architects wins competition to design the Jinghe New City Culture & Art Centre.

Jinghe New City is growing as a science and technology hub north of Xi’an in China's Shaanxi province.

Echoing the meandering valleys carved by the Jinghe River through the mountains and landscapes of Shaanxi province, the Jinghe New City Culture & Art Centre’s design intertwines with the city’s existing urban masterplan to connect the new multimedia library on the north side of Jinghe Avenue with the new performing arts theatre and exhibition galleries to the south via elevated courtyards, gardens and paths that span the avenue’s eight lanes of traffic below.

With ramps providing a gateway to the district’s network of elevated public walkways, the centre weaves through the city to link its commercial and residential districts with the parks and river to the south, while also bringing the city’s residents into the heart of the building and providing direct access to the planned metro station.

Organized as a series of flowing volumes, layers and surfaces interconnecting with courtyards and landscapes, the design defines a sequence of interior and exterior cultural and recreational spaces for its community

We ,IIA Vadodara Centre of Gujarat Chapter Started our Own Lecture Series on “Connecting Our Built & Un-Built worlds Knowledge Series ” where First Speaker for Series was "Ar. Jitendra Mehta" on 16th Oct 2021. Ar. Jitendra Mehta is an eminent Architect and Urbanist of Central India with more than 25 years of experience in Architecture and Urban Planning. With a proactive response to sustainable architecture, he is promoting Green Architecture and its practical adoption in Architecture & Urban Planning. Has been elected as National Council Member in The Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) for the term 2015-2019. Served as the Chairman of Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) – Madhya Pradesh Chapter (2011-2015), and member of International Affairs Board of IIA. He has effectively conducted various Professional Development Programs for Practicing Architects along with Motivational and Educational events for the Students of Architecture, also promoting interface and synergy between professionals and academics. Professional Architects, Interior designers and Student members of the fraternity of Vadodara, Anand, V.V.Nagar were part of this unique event. 150+ Members Participation was Archived for this event. It was Organised at Venue: Grand Mercure Vadodara Surya Palace, opp. Parsi Agiary, Sarod, Sayajiganj, Vadodara with Title Sponsored by Berger Paints, India.
