Shab-e Yalda, also known as "Shab-e Cheleh," is one of the most important and beautiful celebrations in Iran, held on the longest night of the year, which is the night of the first day of Dey (December 21st). This night symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and the beginning of the winter season.

On this night, families and friends gather together and enjoy various fruits and snacks, including watermelon, pomegranate, nuts, and sweets. Watermelon is used as a symbol of warmth, while pomegranate represents abundance and life. Additionally, reading the poems of Hafez and taking omens from his divan is one of the common traditions of this night.

Keeping the memory of loved ones alive and engaging in conversations and storytelling are other important elements of this celebration. Yalda provides an opportunity to strengthen family and friendship bonds and to celebrate Iran's rich culture.

Ultimately, Shab-e Yalda is not only a cultural celebration but also a symbol of hope and a promise of brighter days ahead.

شب یلدا، که به عنوان "شب چله" نیز شناخته می‌شود، یکی از مهم‌ترین و زیباترین جشن‌های ایرانی است که در طولانی‌ترین شب سال، یعنی شب اول دی‌ماه، برگزار می‌شود. این شب نمادی از پیروزی نور بر تاریکی و آغاز فصل زمستان است.

در این شب، خانواده‌ها و دوستان دور هم جمع می‌شوند و با میوه‌ها و تنقلات مختلف از جمله هندوانه، انار، آجیل و شیرینی‌ها پذیرایی می‌کنند. هندوانه به عنوان نمادی از گرما و انار به عنوان نمادی از فراوانی و زندگی در این شب مورد استفاده قرار می‌گیرد. همچنین، خواندن اشعار حافظ و فال گرفتن از دیوان او یکی از سنت‌های رایج در این شب است.

زنده نگه داشتن یاد و خاطره‌ی عزیزان در این شب و همچنین گفت‌وگو و داستان‌گویی از دیگر عناصر مهم این جشن به شمار می‌آید. یلدا فرصتی است برای تقویت روابط خانوادگی و دوستی، و تجلیل از فرهنگ غنی ایرانی.
