During Milano Design Week 2026, Convey Building reimagined the exhibition space as a full five-floor experience in the heart of the city, bringing together design, culture and an international community.

For Convey ’26 we installed our Trotter carpet in three colourways, using its contemporary, tactile texture to create continuity between installations. The result was a visual thread that supported comfort and balance, enhancing the dialogue between architecture, research and conviviality.

Cadence is the last pattern in our Pigments collection by Studio Marco Piva 🎨

The Cadence pattern interprets colour as sequence. The design is based on a controlled repetition of marks that follow one another in a measured rhythm, alternating different intensities 🔎 Colours are arranged into defined fields, with rectangles laid out like a checkerboard, where colour is distributed with a rhythmic progression.

The result is a surface that feels both vibrant and balanced, guiding the eye through an ordered yet lively composition, enhanced by natural tones of green, beige, sand and deep burgundy.

Introducing Layer, the first design in our Pigments pattern collection 🎨 by Studio Marco Piva

Layer is a textile surface that explores layering as a generative process. Layers of colour, applied in sequence from top to bottom and from left to right, settle onto the surface, creating a sense of perspective. Light veils and denser fields coexist in a dynamic balance, resulting in an effect reminiscent of an interlacing.

The pattern investigates a single hue, from beige to burgundy,
passing through green and sand, and its tonal variations, from
darker to lighter shades, without the need to overlap multiple
colours, enhancing chromatic richness through progressive
layering.

Following its preview at Frames, Studio Marco Piva’s installation for Milano Design Week with Zambaiti Parati, we are now bringing the Pigments pattern collection into focus.

A printed collection where colour is treated as a living material 🎨 Layered tones, overlaps and different gestures become a language of their own, transforming pigment into a graphic trace. Marks, veils, dots and interweavings spread across the surface like patterns suspended between expressive freedom and structured composition 🧵

The collection unfolds through four patterns, Undertone, Layer, Grain and Cadence, each exploring a different balance between gesture and structure. Each design originates from the meeting of signs and colours that merge, giving the textile surface rhythm, depth and vibration. The result is a collection in which the painterly gesture is translated into texture, transforming the textile into a perceptual space rich in matter, light and movement.
