On the occasion of Italian Design Day 2026 in Mexico City, where I have the honor of serving as Ambassador, I am delighted to present the TIMEMADE project within the stunning setting of the Istituto Italiano di Cultura.

This is not merely an exhibition, but an open dialogue: through a custom-designed installation and the evocative photographies shot along the years by Mattia Balsamini, we will explore a visual journey seeking common ground between seemingly distant places and cultures. A shared reflection on time, craftsmanship, and identity. I am deeply grateful to bring this conversation to one of the most vibrant metropolises in the world. 🇮🇹🇲🇽

Con motivo del Italian Design Day 2026 en la Ciudad de México, donde este año tengo el honor de ser Embajador, tendré el placer de presentar el proyecto TIMEMADE en la hermosa sede del Instituto Italiano de Cultura.

Más que una exposición, será un diálogo abierto: a través de una instalación diseñada por nosotros y las fotografías tomadas por Mattia Balsamini a lo largo de los años del proyecto, exploraremos un recorrido visual en busca de puntos de encuentro entre lugares y culturas aparentemente distantes.
Una reflexión común sobre el tiempo, la artesanía y la identidad. Agradecido de poder llevar este intercambio a una de las metrópolis más vibrantes del mundo. 🇮🇹🇲🇽

The project was born with a strong sustainable vocation. It is one of the few chairs on the market made with the use of only 7 unique elements of solid wood, with an additional element of the seat constructed in curved plywood.

We are very glad to finally share one of the our latest projects: ASTRA, a wooden suspension lamp collection, designed for Porada.

ASTRA by DAVID DOLCINI STUDIO is our very first ceiling lamp design and it’s a configurable suspension lamp, intended to be a reinterpretation of the "chandelier" by using solid wood.

The combination of the different materials and elements gives this piece a classic- modern vibe.

The design is based on the principles of gravity and balance, combining in one single element the softness of the light with the solidity of wood, graphism with sensual shapes.

ASTRA by David Dolcini è la nostra prima lampada a sospensione configurabile a sorgente multipla, reinterpretazione del "chandelier" attraverso l'uso del legno massello.

Questo complemento d'arredo crea un'atmosfera tra classico e moderno, grazie alla combinazione di materiali ed elementi differenti.

Il design si basa sui principi di gravità ed equilibrio, combinando in un unico oggetto sospeso la leggerezza della luce e la solidità del legno massello, il grafismo della linea e la sensualità delle forme organiche.
