Biochar Symposium - Palermo 2014

On behalf of the Organization Committee of the 2nd Mediterranean Biochar Symposium, I wish to inform all of you that, following the Symposium held in Palermo on 16-17 January 2014, a special issue on Biology and Fertility of Soils titled “Environmental impact of biochar and its role in soil fertility and green remediation” is going to be prepared.
Biology and Fertility of Soils is a very well recognized international journal (2013 IF= 2.7) publishing original papers, reviews and short communications concerning fundamental and applied aspects of biology, biochemistry and fertility of soils. The special issue “Environmental impact of biochar and its role in soil fertility and green remediation” will guest contributions on the chemistry and biochemistry of biochar related to its effects on soil fertility and soil remediation.
I would like to invite all of you to contribute to this special issue with original papers, reviews or short communications. Deadline for paper submission is 31/05/2014.
In order to submit your paper, you need to access to Biology and Fertility of Soils and follow the instructions given on the journal website. When you have to select the article type, please select "SI: Biochar, soil fertility and environment". Then proceed as for a normal contribution.
I am looking forward to receiving your worth contribution for the aforementioned special issue.

The members of the Institutions which are supporting the Symposium will receive 10% discount on the registration fee for in time registration. If registration is done by November 15 2013, ordinary participants from the aforementioned institutions will pay 180 €, while students from the Symposium supporting institutions will pay only 90 €. After the deadline no discount is applied. In order to check the Institutions supporting the Symposium, please refer to the “Supporters” page.
