Studio [OPS!] Cingoli/Manigrasso
The atelier, based in Pescara and Teramo, was founded in 2013 by arch. It designes and makes research in the fields of architecture and urban planning. Careful of the dinamics of urban and environmental change and land use, Studio [OPS!] analizes many implied variables, the ecology, the climate and the lifestyle to guide the urban development on the way of the su
stainability using the instruments of flexibility and adaptation. Linking research with experimentation it wants to increase the urban resilience to stressors (stress factors). It is particularly interested in the design of public spaces, and works as consultant to government ( public administrations). The Studio partecipates in national and international design contests. It has won important awards including the first prize for the 'Arrangement of Piazza Dante' in Teramo (2009), the 'Premio Eco_Luoghi 2013 Sustainable Urban Regeneration Projects' for architects under the age of 35, and recently the second prize at the International Design Award 2014 with the 'Project for the redevelopment of the multi-storey car park in San Salvo'. Studio [OPS!] puts into play, in a shared manner, the experience and expertise of two complementary and integrated figures (Andrea Cingoli and Michele Manigrasso), merging scientific research, urban planning and design, between the fields of enterprise and academic teaching.
