We Vaselli connected with the stone of Rapolano over one hundred years ago, continuing an ancient tradition that dates
back to the Etruscans and which, over the centuries, has been used to clad the architecture of Tuscany and the world with splendid tonalities. Our technique has evolved and become more modern, but the passion has remained the same as that of the Stone Age, sedimented in our family

history. The material is the starting point for our way of doing, not that of arrival. For others, stone is a consequence, for us it’s the cause.

Noi Vaselli ci siamo innestati con la pietra di Rapolano da oltre cento anni, continuando una tradizione antichissima che risale agli etruschi e che nei secoli ha rivestito di splendide tonalità le architetture
della toscana e del mondo. La nostra tecnica si è evoluta e modernizzata, ma la passione è la stessa dell’età della pietra, sedimentata nella nostra storia familiare. Per altri la pietra è una conseguenza, per noi è la causa.

June in Tuscany is that time of the year when thoughts turn to the anticipation of the coming high summer, an imminent prelude to a new beginning. The JUNE bar unit takes inspiration from this atmosphere of transition, designed to gather friends and family for those moments of conviviality in the open air.

This solid and compact unit evolves the concept of the traditional counter to allow a whole new set of contexts. Originally born as a kitchen intended as a place of creativity and meeting, it is here presented as a totem for mixing and serving drinks, encouraging a dialogue between the host and their guests, centered around the culture of storytelling and the celebration of raw elements.

The symmetry and smooth lines that characterize this project are designed to support a natural, semi-circular workflow. The countertop is divided into two zones that can be individually fitted according to specific needs, providing areas for preparation, the placement of ingredients and tools, washing, and a modular ice zone.

The Chrysalis outdoor kitchen is made from a single block of stone, which preserves the natural concretions and manual breaks typical of quarry processing, with a clear reference to the original element.
In this way the nature of the material guides the creative act, taking priority over drawings and schemes, making unpredictability and unrepeatability the essential characteristics of the piece.

The Stone literally designs the Chrysalis outdoor kitchen, since the natural concretions and splits outline the blocks.

This makes each piece unique and never entirely predictable.

Lava also gives life to more minimal shapes, such as this freestanding cylindrical washbasin.
All without sacrificing the material combination detail that characterizes the project.

Washbasins and vanities are completed by mirrors, which are also made of two materials.
They feature the same attention to the connection detail repeated throughout the various elements of the collection.
