TT - THiRTYONE Trends | 03 - ART IN SPACE

What happens when a space becomes more than a setting? This time THiRTYONE Trends shares the idea of developing a stronger character of the interior through the use of art. An artwork can shift the atmosphere of an entire room: it can slow down the eye, create a point of tension, introduce a new perspective, or simply make the place memorable.

From the world of ETRO Dubai, to a contemporary interpretation of the myth of Partenope, to a private residence shaped by personal expression - each project explores a particular bond between art and space. Different contexts. Different artists. Different stories.

Cesare Berlingeri - “Piegato RAL 2010”
Berlingeri’s folded canvas turns painting into a physical gesture. The work moves beyond the traditional picture plane, allowing colour, shadow and the folds of the material to become part of the composition. The result is a quiet tension between what is revealed and what remains concealed.

Kwangho Lee - “Knotted, Blue Chunk”
A sculptural meeting of industrial material and handwork, where the repetitive gesture of knotting transforms something familiar into something unexpected.

Lucianella Cafagna - “Against Red”
Cafagna’s Against Red introduces a more intimate presence, using colour and the human figure to create a moment of tension and emotional depth within the interior.

THiRTYONE Project | Santa Prisca Residential

The contemporary interior of the Santa Prisca residential project is enhanced by the elegance of the Réserve Mareggiata parquet by Listone Giordano Official. This handcrafted surface highlights the knot structure and the most authentic characteristics of the wood, just like a material exposed to the action of time and smoothed by the waves and sea breeze.

Finished with eco-friendly oil treatments, the parquet creates a warm, authentic foundation that blends seamlessly with the intimacy of the home. Réserve Mareggiata represents the perfect fusion of natural design, know-how and artisanal craftsmanship.

THIRTYONE Project | ETRO Boutique at Osaka, Daimaru Shinsaibashi

The material contrast inside the new boutique designed by us at Daimaru Shinsaibashi in Osaka, enhances the intense colours of ETRO’s products, between rough and sleek surfaces, together with neutral tones.

The layout is designed to guide customers along a fluid journey through the men’s and women’s collections and cross-selling areas, integrating custom display systems, fitting rooms and dedicated accessory areas within an elegant, residential atmosphere. Curved elements, carefully selected furnishings and a dedicated lighting design enhance the materials and products, transforming the boutique into a sensory experience that expresses the ETRO lifestyle.

A project that brings together heritage, craftsmanship and contemporaneity, strengthening the Maison’s international presence in the Asian market through a unique and distinctive space.

THiRTYONE Project | EDIT Napoli - Camera con Vista

Beyond the view, a different way of inhabiting space.

Inspired by the discovery of an ancient coral reef beneath the Gulf of Naples, Camera con Vista explores the role of contemplation in architecture and how visual perception shapes our experience of space.

The window becomes the focal point, connecting visitor and environment. As the landscape enters the room, it transforms our perception, blurring the boundaries between interior and exterior, reality and imagination. Looking becomes a way of inhabiting - an invitation to pause and observe what lies beyond. Beneath the window, TON’s P.O.V. 468 counter and Leaf seating, custom-made in THiRTYONE Coral, become part of this contemplative setting.

Thank you to everyone who visited Camera con Vista during EDIT Napoli, took the time to experience the installation and became part of its story.

THiRTYONE Project | EDIT Napoli - Camera con Vista

The view is not simply an opening onto the outside, but a tool for discovery.

For EDIT Napoli 2026, we designed an installation where the room becomes a threshold: a point of access to what we are normally unable to see - an underwater world.

In an age of increasingly pervasive AI, the handmade gesture reconnects brain, body and muscle memory, bringing knowledge back to matter and time. Scientific discovery and literary imagination come together in a contemporary Cabinet de Curiosités, where the creative process becomes part of the story. Objects appear as wreckage, artefacts, memories and fragments of stories returned by the sea.

Within this world, Stefano Benni’s Bar sotto il mare finds its place: two worlds coming together within a suspended space.

THiRTYONE Project | EDIT Napoli - Camera con Vista

Anyone who enters must tell a story.

For EDIT Napoli 2026, we will explore the relationship between visual perception to the horizon, inspired by two worlds: the discovery of an ancient coral reef beneath the Gulf of Naples and the Bar sotto il mare by Stefano Benni, where every guest is invited to tell a story.

Like Benni’s Bar, our installation offers a place to sit, observe and reveal. From there, visitors contemplate the world outside and the stories of the characters inhabiting the room: the waiter, the little girl, the mermaid and the invisible man. A space dedicated to contemplating the horizon - a place that should belong to every environment, where each guest can reveal themselves while listening to the stories and lives of others.

In collaboration with Bislacchi Studio, the installation frames the view through the window. At its heart, Ton P.O.V. 468 & Leaf seating, custom-made in “THiRTYONE Coral”. Handmade Gracilariae sculptures from THiRTYONE Crafting Workshop follow organic, changing forms, echoing the way the sea transforms and sublimates shapes. A contemporary Wunderkammer, a Cabinet de Curiosité, where the creative process becomes part of the story, sometimes more precious than the result.

We’re looking for a Project Manager to join our team. Someone who knows how to keep projects on track, with strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate people, timelines and priorities from concept to completion.

The ideal candidate should be proficient in project planning and coordination, with excellent time management, communication and problem-solving skills, along with a solid knowledge of both the Autodesk and Office packages.

TT - THiRTYONE Trends | 02 – COLOR MATCHING

Color is never just decoration. It can define hierarchy, movement and identity within a space. In this edition of THiRTYONE Trends, we look at color through three of our projects and break down how each tone plays within the interior – from dominant surfaces and structural accents to colors that connect materials and spatial zones.  
Rather than choosing colors in isolation, we approach a palette through function:
BASE – defines the dominant spatial field.
ACCENT – creates focus, hierarchy and energy.
BRIDGE – connects colors, materials or zones.
TONAL LAYER – adds depth without introducing strong contrast.

THiRTYONE Project | Hotel Garden - Alisé rooftop

Designed as a natural extension of Garden Praia, Alisé reimagines the rooftop as a place shaped by the relationship between hospitality, architecture and landscape.

For over fifty years, Hotel Garden has been a landmark of hospitality on the Riviera dei Cedri, in Calabria. Alisé builds on this legacy and continues the long-standing collaboration between our studio and the property through an intervention that balances space design and the identity of the place.

Raised platforms organise the different functions, softly shaped counters guide circulation and lounge areas along the perimeter encourage moments of relaxation and conviviality while preserving uninterrupted views.

THiRTYONE Project | Hotel Garden - Alisé rooftop

Furniture becomes part of the architectural language at Garden Praia Alisé rooftop, contributing to the atmosphere without competing with the surroundings.

We selected Kartell Official pieces from the HIRAY collection - including the stool, side table and lounge chair in a brick-red finish - together with Prince Aha stools in Wax White. Their light and essential forms perfectly match the project’s palette while defining welcoming outdoor settings.
