is a company with over 90 years of experience in the activities of extraction, production and selling of ebony black marble powders, a characteristic stone of Bergamo, which has long been renowned for its beauty, as witnessed in its use in the columns of St Marks Cathedral in Venice. In the fifties Armati Tranquillo, honoured by the title of knight, commenced the enormous undertaking of extracting
more than 500 thousand cubic metres of marble. With the passing of the years, thanks to the experience and investment of his own financial resources, the activity evolved, parts of the installation were substituted with a new compact structure that also included storage silos. The range of products and their possible uses evolved along with the tools. From the quarry and from the numerous procedures carried out many products are now created (around 50.000 tonnes of them a year), each with different characteristics and uses:
– the desiccated filler (100 microns) which is used for various products: asphalts, concretes, bituminous mixes, waterproof foundations, base layer of carpets, rugs, stair-carpets and substrate for synthetic grass carpets for sports fields;
– the powders of various grain measurements are used in different sectors: fabricating tiles, agglomerates, prefabrications, mosaics, fabricating roof tiles e.g. slates, in the glass industry and general building and construction;
– the chips are used in many places: cladding walls, textured wall finishes, containment cages for engineering in nature and chosen stones for paving, and finally the prestigious pebbles (with dimensions between 2 and 250 mm in a range of shapes) which are used in different environments:
fabricating tiles, agglomerates, prefabrications, creating mosaics, risseau-type paving, urban decoration and garden ornaments. Our products are realised with a complex and careful production process, with machinery and equipment installations of the latest generation, and also an accurate control system by personnel with many years of experience in the field of extracting and working marble. Our products comply with CE Marking Directive UNI EN 12620 – 13043. The firm has a large storage capacity, which provides us with a continuous supply of raw material, to allow any size order to be satisfied without delay. The market for our product,given the vast scale of use of calcium carbonate, extends beyond Italy into many countries in the world, especially in Northern Europe, North Africa and Arab countries.Distribution takes place via sea and road channels. La ditta Armati Cav. s.n.c. è una società con oltre 90 anni di esperienza nell’attività di estrazione, produzione e vendita di granulati di marmo nero ebano, caratteristica pietra bergamasca, da sempre apprezzata per la sua bellezza, come testimoniano le colonne della Basilica di San Marco a Venezia. Negli anni 50 Armati Tranquillo, onorato del titolo di Cavaliere, ha avviato l’attività di estrazione di oltre 500 mila metri cubi di marmo. Con il trascorrere degli anni, grazie all’esperienza ed all’investimento delle proprie risorse finanziarie, l’attività si è evoluta, parte degli impianti sono stati sostituiti con una nuova struttura compatta che comprende anche alcuni silos di stoccaggio. Insieme ai mezzi di lavoro si sono evoluti anche la gamma di prodotti e i possibili usi di essi. Dalla cava e dalle numerose lavorazioni nascono oggi molteplici prodotti (circa 50.000 tonnellate l’anno), ognuno con caratteristiche ed utilizzi diversi:
– il filler essiccato (100 microns) utilizzato per vari impieghi: asfalti, calcestruzzi, miscele bituminose, guaine di impermeabilizzazione, substrati dei tappeti, zerbini e passatoie, nonché per substrati dei tappeti in erba sintetica per i campi sportivi;
– i granulati nelle svariate granulometrie utilizzati in diversi settori: fabbricazione di mattonelle, agglomerati, prefabbricati, mosaici, fabbricazione di tegole per coperture tipo ardesia, per l’industria vetraria e nell’edilizia in generale;
– il pietrame utilizzato in molti ambiti: dai muri di rivestimento, muri tipo scogliera, gabbie di contenimento per ingegneria naturalistica e pietre scelte per pavimentazione, fino ai prestigiosi ciottoli (con dimensioni da 2 a 250 mm nelle varie pezzature), utilizzati in svariati campi: fabbricazione di mattonelle, agglomerati, prefabbricati, realizzazione di mosaici, pavimentazioni tipo rissêau, arredo urbano e complementi per giardini. I nostri prodotti sono realizzati con un processo produttivo complesso e curato, dotato di macchinari ed impianti di ultima generazione nonché di un accurato sistema di controllo da parte del personale con pluriennale esperienza nel campo dell’estrazione e della lavorazione del marmo. I nostri prodotti sono caratterizzati dalla marcatura CE secondo la norma UNI EN 12620 – 13043. L’azienda ha una buona capacità di stoccaggio dei materiali in modo di possedere una continua scorta, fondamentale per evadere qualsiasi ordine con sollecitudine. Il mercato dei nostri prodotti, data la vasta scala di utilizzo del carbonato di calcio, si estende oltre che in Italia in molti paesi del mondo, in particolare Nord Europa, Nord Africa e paesi Arabi, la distribuzione avviene su strada e via mare.
