انضم إلينا في رحلة استكشافية إلى عالم النباتات البرية القابلة للأكل والطبية في المزرعة خلال أوائل الربيع مع ضيفتنا المميزة تالا خوري، أخصائية التغذية الشاملة القادمة من رام الله لحضور الورشة وأليكسيا دي تيليس، أخصائية الأعشاب المقيمة في عمان. سنبحث عن الفوائد الصحية الفريدة للنباتات المحلية ونتعرف عليها، ثم نستكشف طرقًا لذيذة ومختلفة للطهي باستخدامها. سنقوم بلقاء واستكشاف النباتات الأصيلة مثل اللوف والخبيزة ونبات القراص والحُمّيض وغيرها الكثير.

Join us on an exploratory journey into the world of wild edible and medicinal plants in the farm during this early spring with our special guest Tala Khoury, holistic nutritionist traveling from Ramallah for the event and Alexia de Tillesse, herbalist based in Amman. We will forage and learn about the unique health benefits of native plants and hear the folk stories related to them and then explore different delicious ways of cooking with them while preparing earthy dishes together. We will encounter and explore natives such as the Palestinian Lily (Arum palaestinum) or Luf, Dwarf Mallow (Malva pusilla) or Khubeze, Nettle (Urtica dioica) or ores, Dock leafs (Rumex species) or humeid and many more.
Saturday 22nd from 10:30am to 5pm
Fees: 35JD
Includes: farm tour, plant foraging and cooking course, coffee & tea, local healthy cooked lunch (beside the dishes that we will prepare), fresh saj bread on the spot. Transportation is not included.

الحمد لله، تعج المزرعة بالحياة، ونحن متحمسون بشكل خاص بشأن العدد المتزايد من الخنافس (أم علي)! ❤️كجزء من التزامنا بالزراعة العضوية والمتجددة، يعد تعزيز التنوع البيولوجي أحد أهم أولوياتنا. ونحن نرى النتائج - المزيد والمزيد من الحشرات المفيدة، بما في ذلك هذه المخلوقات الصغيرة الساحرة، تتخذ موطنها هنا. الخنفساء هي من أدوات القضاء على الآفات في الطبيعة، حيث تتغذى على حشرات المن وحشرات الحديقة المزعجة الأخرى، مما يساعدنا في الحفاظ على صحة الأشياء وتوازنها دون الحاجة إلى المبيدات الحشرية الكيميائية. إنه مجرد سبب آخر يجعلنا فخورين جدًا بنهجنا في الزراعة! 🐞❤️🐞.
Al hamdulellah, the farm is buzzing with life—and we’re particularly excited about the growing number of ladybugs! ❤️As part of our commitment to organic and regenerative farming, enhancing biodiversity is one of our top priorities. And we’re seeing the results—more and more beneficial insects, including these charming little creatures, are making their home here. Ladybugs are nature’s very own pest controllers, munching on aphids and other pesky garden insects, helping us keep things healthy and balanced without the need for chemical pesticides. It’s just one more reason we’re so proud of our approach to farming! 🐞❤️🐞.

Can you spot the white bird? It is a cattle egret (from the heron family). These 2 became inseparable! This is a beautiful example of a natural symbiosis where the cattle egret eats up the insects hiding under vegetation close to the grounds, which get stirred up when the horse walks through them. 💚💚💚
