Building stronger communities starts with showing up.

As part of "AEC Gomi Zero (Zero Waste) Action" initiative, held across our Okinawa and Yamaguchi locations, our team in Iwakuni partnered with the Asahi Daini Neighborhood Association for a community cleanup focused on caring for the public spaces we all share.

Twenty-two AEC employees and affiliates joined eight local residents to help clean and beautify neighborhood parks and common areas. More than a cleanup effort, it was an opportunity to connect with community members, exchange ideas, and work together toward a common goal.

At AEC, supporting infrastructure goes beyond the projects we build. It begins with helping create safe, welcoming communities and preserving the environments that bring people together.

Thank you to everyone from the Asahi Daini Neighborhood Association for your partnership and support. We are proud to stand alongside the communities we serve and look forward to continuing these meaningful collaborations.

【地域との絆を深く】5月30日「ごみゼロの日」、山口・岩国エリアで地域自治体の皆様と清掃活動を実施しました 🧹

先日の「ごみゼロの日」に合わせ、AECが2拠点（沖縄・山口）で展開した「AEC ごみゼロアクション」。
今回は、山口・岩国エリアでの【地域密着型クリーン活動】のレポートです！

岩国エリアでは「旭第二自治会」様と連携し、AEC社員・関係者22名と、自治会の皆様8名が共同で清掃美化活動を行いました。

日頃からお世話になっている地域コミニュティ公園や公共スペースの清掃・景観美化に取り組み、自治会の皆様と楽しくコミュニケーションを取りながら、心地よい汗を流す充実した時間となりました。

「インフラを支える」という私たちの使命は、地域社会の安全・安心、そして美しい街並みを守ることから始まります。これからも地域の一員として、手を取り合いながら共に歩んでまいります。

On May 30, Japan's "Zero Waste Day," AEC team members and their families came together in Okinawa and Yamaguchi for our "AEC Gomi Zero (Zero Waste) Action" initiative.🌊

Today, we're sharing highlights from our beach cleanup in Okinawa.

With the support of local volunteer organization "gomisube", nearly 60 employees and family members spent the morning helping protect Okinawa's beautiful coastline.
United by a shared commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement, participants worked together to preserve the ocean that connects us all and inspire the next generation to care for our planet.

In just one hour, the team collected an estimated 80 kilograms of litter.
Beyond the visible impact, the event provided a meaningful opportunity for children and adults alike to reflect on the role each of us can play in protecting the environment.

As a company that helps build and maintain critical infrastructure, we believe our responsibility extends beyond construction. We remain committed to supporting the communities we serve and preserving the natural environment for future generations.

【5/30ごみゼロの日】沖縄の美しい海を次世代へ！ビーチクリーンを実施しました 🌊

5月30日の「ごみゼロの日」に合わせ、AECでは地域社会への恩返しと環境保全を目的とした「AEC ごみゼロアクション」を沖縄・山口の2拠点で開催いたしました。

まずは、沖縄本社エリアでのビーチクリーンの様子をお届けします！

去年に引き続き、今回もボランティア団体「gomisube」にご協力いただき、総勢約60名の社員とそのご家族が参加。世界へとつながる美しい海の保全、そして次世代への環境意識の継承を目指し、約1時間の清掃活動に汗を流しました。

限られた時間ではありましたが、回収したゴミは推定80キロ！
目に見える成果とともに、参加した子どもたちにとっても環境問題を身近に考える素晴らしい機会となりました。

私たちAECは建設関連企業として、地域のインフラを支えるだけでなく、美しい自然環境を次世代へ繋ぐためのアクションをこれからも継続してまいります。

What does it mean to be a truly community-rooted company?
At AEC, it means actively supporting the communities and environments around us.

On May 30th—celebrated as "Zero Waste Day" in Japan thanks to a clever wordplay where the date 5/30 sounds like "Gomi Zero" (Zero Waste)—we are launching our AEC Gomi Zero Action campaign across both Okinawa and Yamaguchi.

This initiative brings together our employees, their families, and local residents to protect and beautify our shared spaces.

Our activities include:
◆In Okinawa: Collaborating with the grassroots organization "gomisube" on a coastal cleanup initiative aimed at protecting marine ecosystems and promoting environmental awareness among the next generation.

◆In Yamaguchi: Working alongside the Asahi Daini Neighborhood Association to help maintain public parks and create safe, welcoming spaces for the community. As a company involved in building and supporting infrastructure, we believe our responsibility extends beyond the projects we deliver.

We are fully committed to protecting the natural beauty and safety of our communities for years to come.
