| Introducing the Tea Collection

2026年6月19日(金)、Teruhiro Yanagihara Studio(TYS)によるフレグランスブランド「LICHEN」より、新たにティーコレクションを発売いたします。 TYSが主宰するVague Kobeおよび、LICHENのオンラインストアにてお求めいただけます。

第一弾となる今回は、スリランカで採れた白茶と紅茶の2種類を展開。これまで LICHENは、シグネチャーセント「LICHEN BASE」をはじめ、嗅覚や視覚など複数の感覚を重ね合わせることで、空間を知覚する体験のデザインを試みてきました。今回のコレクションでは、お茶が生み出す香りや余韻、時間の流れを通して、新たな空間体験の表現を提案いたします。

On June 19, 2026, fragrance brand LICHEN by Teruhiro Yanagihara Studio (TYS) will introduce its new Tea Collection. The collection will be available at Vague Kobe, curated by TYS, as well as through the LICHEN online store.

The first release features two teas sourced from Sri Lanka: a white tea and a black tea. Since its inception, LICHEN has explored ways of shaping the perception of space through the layering of multiple senses, including scent and sight, most notably through its signature fragrance, LICHEN BASE.

With this collection, LICHEN turns its attention to tea—its aroma, lingering nuances, and the gentle passage of time. Through these elements, the collection proposes a new expression of spatial experience.

【Sri Lanka Kotapola White Tea】
葉がひらく前の若芽のみを摘み取り、自然のままに乾燥させて仕立てた白茶。限られた季節にわずかしか生まれない、希少な茶葉です。朝露をまとった白い花のような清らかな香り、白桃や洋梨のようなみずみずしさ、淡く澄んだ甘みが口の中に広がります。草木をやさしく撫でる春風を思わせる、軽やかで魅惑的な印象の白茶です。

Made from buds picked before they open, dried naturally and left untouched, this white tea exists only in a brief window each season—rare, unhurried. Morning dew on white flowers. The freshness of white peach and pear. A soft, luminous sweetness that lingers. Light and quietly captivating, like a spring breeze moving through new leaves.

【Sri Lanka Kotapola Black Tea】
スリランカ南部、熱帯雨林の山奥。多様な生物たちが棲む豊かな森の中で育てられ、一葉と新芽のみを丁寧に手摘みした茶葉です。落ち葉や土のような深みのある香りと、蜂蜜のようなこっくりとした甘み、熟した果実の鮮やかな余韻が残ります。しっとりとした湿度と生命力にあふれた森の記憶を感じられる、特別な紅茶です。

From the mountains of a tropical rainforest in southern Sri Lanka—a forest dense with life, where the finest single leaf and bud are picked by hand. Notes of earth and fallen leaves deepen into a full, honeyed sweetness, with a bright finish of ripe fruit. A special black tea that holds the memory of the forest: its warmth, its humidity, its quiet abundance.

中国で生まれた茶文化は、シルクロードを通じて各地へと渡り、風土や人の営みと交わりながら、長い時間をかけて旅を続けてきた。湯気とともに立ちのぼる香りは、土地に刻まれた記憶をひらき、幾層にも重なる時間の気配を映す。どこか遠くの景色が、味覚や嗅覚と呼応しながら、空間へ立ち現れる。多様な生命との共生のなかで、自然と手仕事が育む「茶」。その一杯にひらく風景を、五感で味わう。

Tea culture was born in China, and from there it travelled the Silk Road—entwining with the climate of each land and the lives of the people it encountered, journeying slowly across centuries. 【LICHEN BASE EAU DE PARFUM】
複雑な天然精油の香りのレイヤーを身体に纏わせる健康的なオードパルファム。
シグネーチャーであるBaseは、地衣類であるオークモスを主体に、香草や樹液の異なるテクスチャを重ね、香りに深みと奥行きを与えます。香水ではめずらしいお米由来のアルコールを使用した香水です。ボトルは有田で特別に作られた陶磁器製。天然素材で作られたフレグランスとのアンサンブルをお楽しみください。

LICHEN is a sensory excavation of the textures and layers of nature ー with a single inhale creating a symbiotic spatial harmony between humans and the world around us.

【LICHEN BASE EAU DE PARFUM】
An eau de parfum that envelops one’s body in the scent created by complex layers of natural essential oils. The signature Base range is made mainly of lichen oakmoss that is layered with the various textures of herbs and sap to provide both depth and dimension to the fragrance. This perfume makes use of alcohol derived from rice which is rare in perfume production. The bottle is made of porcelain specially crafted in the town of Arita in Japan. Enjoy this ensemble with its fragrance made from purely natural materials.

LICHEN is designed to be enjoyed in everyday life. Products are encased in the clean lines and smooth curves of porcelain ceramic containers. Minimalist forms are balanced with a deep material warmth: the clay is a soft earth colour, its surface gently grained to the touch, mirroring the organic tones and textures of nature. This is achieved through the highest quality of craftsmanship, with each piece created with handcrafted precision by artisans in Arita, a town in southern Japan renowned for centuries of porcelain heritage.

All these elements ensure LICHEN’s sensory explorations of the natural world are rooted in the rhythms of daily life.
