完成しました。
海と建築の関係を見つめ、
空間体験をより身体的なものへ。
視線はそのまま水平線へ抜け、
内と外の境界は曖昧に。
建築が、風景の一部となることを目指しました。

－太平洋を望む絶景と開放感－

太平洋を一望できる息をのむような景色を背景に、開放感あふれる建物を設計しました。
海側以外には一切窓を設けず、訪れる人々が自然の美しさに没入できる空間を目指しました。
夕暮れの色の変化、波の音、高知の風、そして夜空に輝く星々や月を眺めながら特別な時間を過ごすことができる、まるで絵画の中にいるような特別な時間を過ごせる宿泊施設です。

－自然と調和するシームレスな暮らし－

​東南アジアに似た南国高知の気候を視覚的にも感じられるように、建物は高床式の大屋根を採用し、外壁には自然豊かな周辺環境と調和する杉皮を使用しています。
屋内と屋外をシームレスに繋ぐ半屋外空間として計画されたアウトドアリビングでは、ダイニングからの視線を遮らないよう一部の床を掘り下げ、作り付けのソファーを配置しました。窓をすべて開放すれば、海と家との関係が緩やかに繋がり、曖昧な境界の空間が広がります。
また高床式の特徴をここでも活かし、インフィニティプールと太平洋が一体的に感じられるようにしました。
プールの奥には斜面に残した既存フレームを再利用したウッドデッキ（YOGAデッキ）を設け、更なる自然との一体感を強調しています。
2階寝室は断熱性を高め、大自然を感じながらも快適性を失わないようにしました。ここで過ごすひとときが、多くの方にとって新たな発見と素晴らしい思い出となることを願っています。

With breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, we have designed a building that embodies a sense of openness. By eliminating windows on all sides except the ocean-facing side, we aimed to create a space where visitors can immerse themselves in the beauty of nature. This place allows you to enjoy the changing colors of the sunset, the sound of the waves, the Kochi breeze, and the starry sky and moon at night, providing a truly unique experience akin to enjoying a painting.
To visually reflect the tropical climate of Kochi, which resembles Southeast Asia, the building features a high-floor structure with a large roof, and the exterior walls are clad in cedar bark that harmonizes with the lush surrounding environment. The semi-outdoor space designed as an outdoor living area seamlessly connects the interior and exterior. We have lowered part of the floor and installed built-in sofas to ensure an unobstructed view from the dining area. By fully opening the windows, the connection between the sea and the house becomes fluid, creating a space with blurred boundaries. The high-floor structure also enhances the experience of the infinity pool, making it feel like it is part of the Pacific Ocean. Beyond the pool, we have installed a wooden deck (YOGA deck) utilizing the existing frame on the slope, further emphasizing the integration with nature.
The bedrooms on the second floor are designed with enhanced insulation to ensure comfort while still allowing the natural beauty to be enjoyed. We hope that the time spent here will bring new discoveries and create wonderful memories for all who visit.

高知市五台山の麓で設計監理をさせて頂いた一棟貸し宿泊施設『坂のうえの宿』が「London Design Award 2024」（イギリス）の「Architectural Design – Hotels & Resorts category」部門で 「 SILVER WINNER 」を受賞しました!

「London Design Award」は、International Awards Associate (IAA) が主催する国際的なデザイン賞で、建築デザイン、インテリアデザイン、製品デザイン、サービスデザインなど幅広いデザイン分野を対象とし、革新的なアプローチや豊かな創造性を顕彰するものです。

これからも、心温まる豊かな空間を皆さまにお届けできるよう、日々努力を続けてまいります。
