『酒は人を呼び、友をつくる』
広島県の東部に位置する福山市。その福山駅から南へ車で30分程走った懐かしい田舎の風景が広がる沼隈町。
のどかではあるが、近年過疎化が進み空き家が多く新たな居住者も期待出来ないようなエリアに。
そこに日本酒と国産ワインを中心にお酒とアテが楽しめる酒場、『田丸屋』をデザインさせて頂きました。
この沼隈町というエリアは、広島県のぶどうの産地であり、夏には美味しいぶどうを求めて全国から注文が入る。
オーナーも自らぶどうを育て、福山市内や山梨のワイナリーでオリジナルワインを作る酒屋を営んでいる。
田丸屋はその酒屋が経営する古民家酒場である。
今回、酒場を作るにあたって、過疎化したエリアに、将来的に少しでも観光客を含めた人の流れを創りたいという狙いもある。
元々中古住宅を購入する際に同じ敷地にあったこちらの古民家を、住宅改修後に同じくリノベーション。
綺麗に手入れされた庭があったことから、庭も活かした古民家酒場を提案しました。
Fukuyama City lies in eastern Hiroshima Prefecture. About a 30-minute drive south from Fukuyama Station, the nostalgic countryside scenery of Numakuma Town unfolds.
Though peaceful, this area has seen increasing depopulation in recent years, with many vacant houses and little hope for new residents.
It was here that we designed 'Tamaruya', a bar where patrons can enjoy sake and domestic wine alongside appetizers.
This area of Numakuma Town is a grape-growing region in Hiroshima Prefecture, receiving orders from all over Japan in summer seeking its delicious grapes.
The owner himself cultivates grapes and runs a liquor store that produces original wines at wineries in Fukuyama City and Yamanashi.
Tamaruya is a traditional Japanese tavern operated by this liquor store.
In creating this tavern, there was also the aim of generating some future flow of people, including tourists, to this depopulated area.
Originally, when purchasing a used house, we found this old folk house on the same lot. After renovating the house, we also renovated this old folk house.
Since it had a beautifully maintained garden, we proposed an old folk house tavern that also utilized the garden.
