Sunset Beach:
Nestled against a vegetated hillside and overlooking a beach and small coral atolls, the geometric form of the Sunset
Beach residence responds to two main view axes: the coral outcrop in the lagoon to the southwest and the sunset arc to the
west and northwest.
Two intersecting, organic solid volumes with canted, whitewashed walls reach out to these views, an architectural gesture combined with the irregularity of the site that sets the footprint of the residence.
The architectural façade responds to the varied conditions of its site through formal mass and transparency.
The front door opens to a glazed lobby showcasing ocean views. Living and dining spaces, swimming pool and spa are planned for easy interaction, beach access and optimal ocean views.
Guest bedrooms located on the upper level wrap around a dramatic void space punctuated by a spiral stair with cantilevered steps that recall marine themes. Three en-suite bedrooms enjoy spacious terraces, outstanding beach views, privacy and security.
Native and planted landscaping defines and enhances the building perimeter, with terraces, pool and lawn enhancing panoramic ocean and horizon views.
植生に覆われた丘陵の麓に位置し、ビーチおよび小規模なサンゴ礁を望む「Sunset Beach Residence」は、主に二つの眺望軸に応答する幾何学的な建築形態を有しています。すなわち、南西のラグーン内にあるサンゴの露岩と、西から北西にかけて広がる夕日の軌道です。
互いに交差する二つの有機的なソリッドボリュームは、白く塗装された傾斜壁を備え、これらの眺望へ向かって伸びる建築的ジェスチャーを形成しています。この表現と敷地の不規則な形状が組み合わさることで、住宅の建築フットプリントが決定されています。
建築ファサードは、建築のボリューム構成と開放性を通じて、敷地の多様な条件に応答しています。エントランスドアを開けると、海の眺望を望むガラス張りのロビーへと導かれます。リビングおよびダイニングスペース、スイミングプール、スパは、相互の利用のしやすさ、ビーチへのアクセス、そして最適なオーシャンビューを考慮して計画されています。
上階に配置されたゲスト用寝室は、海を想起させるテーマの片持ちステップによる螺旋階段を中心とした、ドラマチックな吹抜け空間を取り囲むように配置されています。3室のエンスイートベッドルームは、広々としたテラス、優れたビーチビュー、そしてプライバシーとセキュリティを備えています。
在来種および植栽によるランドスケープが建物周囲を形づくり、テラス、プール、芝生とともに、海と水平線のパノラマビューをさらに引き立てています。
