KAOHSIUNG, TAIWAN
This terminal does not feel like a single object placed on the waterfront.
It feels more like a surface of movement, gently folded between city and sea.
The roof is not only a roof.
It becomes horizon, shade, passage, and ground.
Circulation does not simply pass through the building;
it is absorbed into the form, as if infrastructure itself had been softened into landscape.
What appears massive is strangely light.
What seems fixed is already in motion.
The architecture does not end at its outline,
but continues into wind, water, distance, and flow.

このターミナルは、
海辺に置かれたひとつの大きな物体、という感じがしない。
むしろ都市と海のあいだに、
ゆるやかに折り重なった
ひとつの「面」のように見える。
屋根は、ただ上に載るだけの屋根ではなく、
水平線であり、陰であり、通路であり、
ときには地面のようでもある。
人の流れは建築の中を通過するのではなく、
そのままかたちに取り込まれ、
インフラそのものが
風景へとやわらかく変わっていく。
大きいのに、どこか軽い。
固定されているのに、すでに動いている。
輪郭の内側で完結するのではなく、
風や水面や距離のなかにまで、
建築がそのまま滲み出していくようだった。
