【Monk / brass】
屋外の照明は煌々と明るい必要はなく、暗がりでほんのりと灯っているくらいがいい。
だから、眩しさを抑えるためにガラスをグレーにし、さらに内側にフロスト加工をすることで眩しくないちょうどいい光をつくりました。
真鍮のカバーは鋳物で制作しており、鋳物ならではの重厚感と素材感を感じていただけます。
カバーの表面は適度に研磨して仕上げ、逆に内側はあえて鋳肌を残しており、点灯時に光を鈍く反射します。
真鍮の経年変化を感じられるbrassと、真鍮を黒染めしたよりマッシブな印象のblackの2色展開です。
どちらの色も時間とともに黒く変色し建築に馴染んでいきます。
Outdoor lighting doesn't need to be glaringly bright, but just enough to be faintly lit in the dark.
Therefore, to reduce glare, the glass is grey and frosted on the inside to create just the right amount of light without glare.
The brass cover is made from cast metal, which gives it a sense of weight and materiality that only cast metal can provide.
The surface of the cover is finished with moderate polishing, while the cast surface is left on the inside, which reflects the light dully when lit.
Available in two colours: brass, which gives the impression of brass ageing, and black, which gives a more massive impression of brass dyed black.
Both colours will darken over time and blend in with the architecture.
