夫妻は結婚後、バンコクで働き、暮らしていました。

訳あって日本に戻ることになり、家を建てることを決断します。「最後の夢を実現したい」という言葉が、ズシリと響きました。

夫が言う「ちょっと変わった家族」は、タイ人の妻と2匹のチワワ兄妹。ドッグランを備えているのはそのためです。

ＬＤＫは吹き抜けとし、非常に開放的。開口部は外部には閉じているドッグランに面して大きく取りました。周辺からの視線を気にせず暮らしたいという要望から、それ以外は最小限にしています。

南と東で接道する敷地は、日当たりにおいては理想的ですが、道路斜線はかなり厳しいものがありました。

南東角が複雑な形状になったのはこのためで、法規制をクリアするのには正直骨が折れました。しかし、そういったストーリーが建物を豊かにすることも間違いないのです。

床は総タイル貼り。バンコクでの暮らしですっかりそのライフスタイルが気に入ったからですが、浴室も含めて、「ホテルライクでクールな空間」を目指しました。

2匹のチワワ兄妹は、芝生のドッグランを思う存分駆け回ります。散歩から帰った後は、エントランスからも、ドッグランからもアプローチできる足洗い場で、きれいにしてから家に入れるような動線としました。

中庭の奥まったところに植えられたユーカリは、ゆったりとバスタイムを楽しめるよう配置しています。

タイでは、金色は幸せを呼ぶと考えられます。奥さんの希望もあって、照明などに取り入れました。多様性と言われますが、普段の暮らしの中に、それぞれの価値観、慣習、感性が織り込まれた空間は、大らかで、味わい深いものになるのではと思っています。

「最後の夢」が叶ったかは、もう少し時間が経ってから訊ねてみようと思っています。

"A Tiled-Floor House with a Dog Run"

After their marriage, the couple worked and lived in Bangkok.

Circumstances led them to return to Japan, where they decided to build a house. The words “I want to realize my final dream” resonated deeply.

The husband refers to his “slightly unusual family” as consisting of his Thai wife and two Chihuahua siblings. That's why the house includes a dog run.

The living-dining-kitchen area features a double-height ceiling, creating an extremely open feel. Large openings face the enclosed dog run, while other windows are kept minimal to fulfill their wish for privacy from neighbors.

The lot, bordering roads on the south and east, offered ideal sunlight but faced strict building setbacks.

This led to the complex shape of the southeast corner, and honestly, meeting the regulations was quite a challenge. Yet, such stories undoubtedly enrich the building's character.

The floors are entirely tiled. Having grown fond of this lifestyle during our time in Bangkok, we aimed for a “hotel-like, cool space” throughout, including the bathrooms.

Our two Chihuahua siblings run freely on the grassy dog run. After walks, a foot-washing station accessible from both the entrance and the dog run allows them to be cleaned before entering the house.

The eucalyptus planted deep within the courtyard is positioned to allow for a relaxing bath time.

In Thailand, gold is believed to bring happiness. Incorporating it into lighting fixtures was also my wife's wish. While diversity is often emphasized, I believe a space woven with each person's values, customs, and sensibilities in everyday life becomes expansive and deeply satisfying.

Whether “the final dream” has come true, I think I'll wait a little longer before asking.

・敷地は大阪市内の下町で、路地が下町風情を残しています。

・この住宅の特長は、構造体です。柱が10ｃｍ角の小さな鉄骨で構成され、柱や梁のでっぱりが全くないので、より広く使えるのです。

・玄関横の格子の後ろを中庭とし、その上部からはポリカーボネイトのトップライト、格子状の床と光が1階まで落ちてきます。

・都会のまんなかで住まうひとつの形を提案出来たのではないかと思っているのです。

・The site is located in a downtown area of Osaka City, where the alleyways retain the charm of the old downtown.

・The defining feature of this residence is its structural framework. The columns are constructed from small 10cm square steel beams, and with no protruding columns or beams, the space feels much more open and usable.

・A courtyard lies behind the latticework beside the entrance. Light streams through a polycarbonate skylight above and the lattice-patterned floor, reaching all the way down to the first floor.

・I believe we have proposed one possible way to live right in the heart of the city.

・seiundoは株主総会関係の印刷等の専門家で、顧客の多くは上場企業。彼らにとって北浜は聖地です。

・土佐堀川を見下ろす最新オフィスビルの7階に、本社を移転することになりました。

・恵まれた景観を損なわず、隔てず、導き、社員を繋ぐ。そのような楕円型のカウンターに囲まれた、働きやすい空間を考えたのです。

・門型のゲートをくぐると、一気に中之島を望む景色が広がります。訪問者の視線を一旦北に誘い、奥の応接スペースへと導きます。

・奥に進むと、カウンターの高さが1m35cmに変化します。応接スペースに腰掛けると視線が切れ、心地よいプロテクト感を演出してくれるはずです。

SEIUNDO - The elliptical counter does not separate, but leads and connects. An office overlooking the Tosabori River in the holy city of Kitahama-




SEIUNDO is a specialist in printing and other services related to shareholder meetings, and many of its clients are listed companies. For them, Kitahama is a sacred place.

We have decided to move our headquarters to the 7th floor of the newest office building overlooking the Tosabori River.

The new office building is located on the seventh floor of the newest office building overlooking the Tosabori River, and it is a place that does not spoil the blessed view, does not separate, guides, and connects employees. The idea was to create a comfortable working space surrounded by such an oval-shaped counter.

The view of Nakanoshima opens up at once when you pass through the gate. Visitors' eyes are once led north to the reception area at the back of the building.

The height of the counter changes to 1m35cm as visitors proceed to the back of the space. When visitors sit down in the reception area, their line of sight will be broken, creating a comfortable sense of protection.

・広い敷地を活かすため、「H型プラン」を採用しました。北棟と南棟が距離をとり、動線部のみで繋がるこのプランなら、全ての部屋に光と風を届けることができます。

・北棟には水廻りや来客スペースを、南棟には広い庭とつながるプライベートな空間を配置。中央にLDK、左右に主寝室と子供部屋という並びに。くびれた部分にあるエントランスは、すぐ前まで車で寄り付け、かつ明るいのです。

・コンクリート打ち放しの美しさを最大に引き出すよう、必要以上に手数を掛けないようにしています。

・頑丈な躯体と、単純明快なプランは、100年という時間を見据えたものなのです。

To take advantage of the large site, an "H-shaped plan" was adopted. The north and south wings are separated by a distance and connected only by a flow line, allowing light and air to reach all rooms.

The north wing houses the water and visitor spaces, while the south wing is a private space connected to the large garden. The LDK is in the center, with the master bedroom and children's rooms on either side. The entrance is located in a narrow part of the building, which is accessible by car and brightly lit.

In order to maximize the beauty of the bare concrete, we have tried not to take more trouble than necessary.

・車でアプローチした際に、濡れなくてもよいように、玄関前には大きな庇を設けました。

　奥の部分をガラス庇とし、明るさにも配慮しています。

・玄関まわりには、シューズインクローゼットも備えています。

・玄関扉を開けると、中庭が見えるのは「H型プラン」ならではの景色です。

・水回りは、生活動線に配慮したものとしています。

・白いホーローのバスタブは、その安定感から一日の疲れを癒してくれるはずです。

A large eave is provided in front of the entrance so that people do not have to get wet when approaching by car.

　The back part of the eaves is made of glass for brightness.

There is also a shoe closet around the entrance.

When you open the front door, you can see the courtyard, which is a view unique to the "H-shaped plan.

The water circulation system has been designed with consideration for the living line.

The white enamel bathtub is sure to soothe you after a hard day's work.

・寝室、子供部屋も、コンクリート打ち放しの良さを最大限に活かし、シンプルな家具類でまとめられています。

・ウォークインクローゼットなどは、打ち放しでなく、断熱と仕上げを施しています。

・各部屋から、南側の庭の景色を楽しめますが、縦にはいった袖壁が、それぞれのプライバシーを守っています。

・和室は、コンクリート打ち放しのと相性の良い素材を選択しています。

・床に活けられた、一輪の花が訪れた人を迎える心を表します。

The bedrooms and children's rooms are also furnished with simple furniture, making the best use of the good qualities of the unfinished concrete.

The WIC and other rooms are insulated and finished.

Each room enjoys a view of the garden on the south side, but the vertical sleeve walls protect the privacy of each room.
