Hello from Bonsai Pot Store YUKIMONO.
Today, we would like to introduce a unique illustrated square bonsai pot created by Echizen-Bunzan.
The scene painted on this pot depicts the house where Bunzan was born and raised, together with the surrounding countryside.
A nearby shrine may once have stood in the area, and the garden appears to have been a place where wisteria blossoms were enjoyed each spring.
The artwork captures a nostalgic and beautiful glimpse of traditional Japan.
Rather than relying on the familiar oriental-style landscapes often seen on ceramics, Bunzan is committed to portraying real places that hold meaning for him.
This dedication gives his work a distinctive character and sense of authenticity.
The pot itself is entirely hand-built, making each piece truly one of a kind.
Its detailed landscape design offers an opportunity to create a bonsai composition that complements and enhances the scene depicted on the pot.
