As I was saying wise men travelled from the East to find the New Born King and what did they bring, gifts for the New Born. Unfortunately in our day people demand gifts, my dear reader, it is not your birthday we are celebrating, nooo it is his birthday, he and He alone should get the gifts. Just imagine for a moment, we are celebrating your birthday and all is about us, New clothes, rich foods, wines and all sorts of gifts without a thought for you, without an invitation even, and then we want you to validate our celebration as your birthday celebrations. Wouldn't you be livid, wouldn't you feel slighted, mocked even hated. That's how the Lord feels when we purport to commemorate his birth but all we do is to insult him. And if this is a Christian Holy Day how is it that it is celebrated in such unchristian manner. My view is that we either as Christians abandon the thing all together or celebrate it in a way that glorifies God only. What about fasting on 24,25 and 26. Just a suggestion, otherwise we are giving credence to an abomination and a facade. This season make a difference, celebrate differently. Do not join those who mock the Lord, don't join those who sought to kill the baby in the guise of worshipping Him. Let your celebration be sober, let Christ be the most permeating thought in whatever you are going to do. Don't join the world in debauchery, do not let down your guard. That way your Christianity will convert a day dedicated to idolatry to a day of worship and selflessness. Let this Christmas be different.

To all those who visit our page, I salute you in Jesus name. How are you? We are fast approaching Christmas and to many people Christians and non Christians it is the climax of the year and realization of the year's resolutions. It's a happy season for many but sad for others. Happy because they have gorged themselves to the full and sad because they didn't have money to spend on what they see as something of value. However let us observe the season and that particular day from God eye. How does God view Christmas? First I would like to state from the beginning that Christmas is not a Christian Holy Day, it is not recorded anywhere in the Old Testament or New as Festival in Judaism neither was it esteemed by the Lord's apostles. It is a Catholic invention. That said I am not in any way against the day per see, the Catholic missionaries had a habit of taking over any pagan holiday Christianizing it and make it a church Holy day. The correctness of that practice is debatable but that's not our subject today. My problem with that practice is where that Holy Day takes over christianity instead of Christianity taking it over. The deity that was worshipped on 25th December didn't just vanish it has been working hard to envelope the thoughts and character of the world slowly and currently there's nothing Christian on Christmas season. The day has reverted back to its origins, paganism, many Christians are overcome by the Christmas spirit, they indulge in the excess of the season. The strongest evidence against Christmas is the debauchery we witness during the season, Christ is Holy, why would you and I want to celebrate his birth in an unholy manner. And I don't mean that Jesus was born on 25th, Dec, no but if we purport to be celebrating his birthday, how comes we do it in a way to mock him and his holiness? Another thing is the absence of the Lord in whatever we are doing; when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea wise men came seeking Him, not a blessing.

To our Friends and acquitances, I greet you in the Name Jesus, We are well the Lord has kept us thus far and we are grateful. God bless you all. Destinies Restoration Centre is a church in Embu town, located along Blue Valley Rd, near the offices of Kenya Power Company. We have an ongoing building project to make our sanctuary habitable and more conducive for the worship of God. On 16th of September, 2017 a windy rain storm tore through our town causing substantial damage to some property among them our church which was already in bad shape. Currently we're having a hard time holding a worship service.
We have done most of ground work and what now remains is the roof work and towards realizing of the goal we have scheduled a fundraiser to take place on December 17th at church grounds. You are urging you our friends, fellow Christians and acquitances to come to our aid in achieving this divine task. You can come in person on that day or you can send your contributions to the following number 0743 793 736, Recipient Name Granville Mwangi Kamau. The Lord bless you, be gracious unto you and show you his kindness.

The church and her membership. What is church? Who are her children? The church is likened to a woman and her members are equated to children? The church was not always there, it came about as restorer of what God had in mind when he originally created the world. Bearing that in mind, it means the church has timelines, it is not an eternal institution but a prophetic one whose role is strictly specific. The church is the assembly of the called out, who formerly lived in the world but are now citizens not of the world but of heaven. Consequently they are different from the rest of the world's citizenry and what is defined as success does apply to them. The church of God, the ecclessia gets her children (wrongly called members) through birth which Christ emphasized to Nicodemus. The church can not purport to encompass everybody because those who would follow Christ must first deny the world, themselves included take up their cross and follow Christ.

2 Cor 10:4-5
The weapons we fight with are not the
weapons of the world. On the contrary,
they have divine power to demolish
strongholds. We demolish arguments
and every pretension that sets itself up
against the knowledge of God, and we
take captive every thought to make it
obedient to Christ.
