I visited Sitawi House the other day and what completely stole my attention was this beautiful ponytail palm.

Wow! 😍
The height. The posture. The quiet confidence.

Fun fact:

Despite the name, the ponytail palm isn’t actually a palm. It’s a succulent. That bulbous base stores water, which is why it survives droughts like a champ and thrives even when you forget it for a bit (we’ve all been there).

There’s something so poetic about it.....
Slow growing, patient, resilient.
It doesn’t rush. It just keeps rising… quietly.

A reminder that growth doesn’t need noise.

You know, the first time I came across an air plant, I just stared at it like, “Surely you must need soil… something… anything?”
But no, this little beauty was just there, chilling, alive, thriving… with no roots.

Air plants are honestly the free spirits of the plant world.
They don’t cling, they don’t demand, they don’t make noise.
They simply take in what the environment gives, a bit of air, a soft spray of water — and somehow, they flourish.

And that’s what made me fall in love with them.

They remind me of people who rise above tough environments… the ones who grow beautifully even when the odds insist they shouldn’t. They teach you that sometimes, you don’t need to be deeply rooted to make an impact. You just need resilience, a little light, and the ability to adapt.

Every time I mist mine, I’m reminded that growth can be gentle. Survival can be elegant.
And some of the strongest things in life are rooted in nothing but air, and still manage to thrive.

I don’t sell plants anymore, but every now and then, when I get a request from someone who knows me personally, I’m always happy to make an exception and do business with them.

This time, I delivered a beautiful Monstera to a client’s home, don’t you just love the leaves on ? The way those large, perforated leaves form naturally is like a living piece of art. Each one is unique, with its own character, and together they make such a bold statement. It’s always a joy to see how a Monstera can transform a space with its stunning, architectural beauty.

There’s just something so beautiful about succulents.
Arranging them fills me with so much joy — it’s grounding, calming, and deeply fulfilling.
