Today, we mourn the loss of Dominique Desmet, a visionary architect, mentor, and leader whose impact will continue to shape the cities and communities around us for generations to come.
With more than 30 years of international experience spanning Europe, Africa, the United States, and Asia, Dominique dedicated his life to architecture and design. As co-founder of T3 Architects in Cambodia, he combined creativity, technical excellence, and a deep passion for creating meaningful places.
He later joined LBL Construction as Director of Architecture and became Managing Director of Wise by LBL, where he played a key role in shaping the group's design vision and architectural ambitions, leaving a lasting mark on our industry, our company, and the people who had the privilege of working alongside him.
Throughout his remarkable career, Dominique helped shape the architectural landscape of Cambodia, particularly Phnom Penh. From residential developments and luxury villas to high-rise towers, schools, parks, hospitality projects, and mixed-use developments, his vision can be found across projects that have transformed the way people live, learn, work, and connect.
At LBL and Wise by LBL, Dominique was more than a leader. He was a source of inspiration, helping build a culture of excellence, innovation, and creativity that will continue to guide us for years to come.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dominique will be remembered as a passionate, generous, and deeply committed leader who is devoted to elevating his team. His leadership, high standards, and ability to inspire others have touched many lives throughout the years. He challenged us to design better.
Today, we celebrate not only an extraordinary architect but also a remarkable human being whose legacy will live on through the projects he imagined, the cities he helped shape, the teams he built, and the many people he mentored throughout his career.
Our thoughts are with his family, friends, colleagues, former students, and everyone whose life he touched.
Thank you, Dominique.
