Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism 2021 We hope many people will be able to enjoy Seoul City with the SBAU.

서울도시건축비엔날레는 작가와 작품, 전시에 국한되지 않고 전 세계 도시와 교류하고 서울을 알리는 화합의 장이자 우리가 살아가는 도시의 미래를 모색하는 주제와 제안의 현장입니다.

서울비엔날레는 매회 새롭게 제안하는 주제에 대한 다양한 해석을 담은 작가의 작품을 선보이는 주제전과 세계 각 도시들의 선도적인 공공 프로젝트를 소개하는 도시전으로 크게 전시가 이루어지며 전시와 더불어 국제교류와 대중과의 소통을 강화하기 위해 글로벌 스튜디오, 현장 프로젝트, 각종 강연 토크쇼, 영화영상제, 투어프로그램 등을 함께 운영합니다.

제4회 서울도시건축비엔날레는 땅의 도시를 그리며 지속 가능한 전시와 자원의 선순환을 위해 전시 폐기물을 최소화하고 재활용이 가능한 전시 디자인을 고민했습니다. 전시에 사용된 집기와 여러 소재들은 비엔날레가 끝난 후 다시 사용될 수 있도록 고려하여 디자인했고, 현재 그 이후의 활용 방안을 모색하고 있습니다.
The 4th Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism painted the Land Architecture and stressed minimizing waste and recyclable exhibition design to create renewable exhibits and a virtuous cycle of natural resources. The fixtures and various materials used were carefully designed to be reusable after the close of the Biennale, and different ways to utilize them are currently being explored.

포스트스탠다즈 Post Standards
전시 집기는 분리와 조립이 용이한 모듈 형태의 디자인입니다. 제4회 서울도시건축비엔날레의 전시 디자인을 맡은 포스트스탠다즈는 하나의 기본 유닛을 설계하고 이것이 다양한 형태로 펼쳐질 수 있는 방법을 제시하였습니다.
The exhibition fixtures are modular designs that are easy to separate and assemble. Entrusted with the exhibition design for the 4th Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism, Post Standards designed the basic unit and came up with ways in which it could be laid out in various forms.

타이백 Tyvek

전시 패널의 바탕이 된 타이벡(Tyvek) 소재는 고밀도 폴리에틸렌 섬유로 별도의 화학물질 첨가 없이, 오직 열과 압력에 의해 만들어진 친환경 신소재입니다. 업사이클링 제품을 디자인하고 제작하는 패션 브랜드 래코드는 제4회 서울도시건축비엔날레 전시 폐막 이후, 폐기 수순의 타이벡 소재를 업사이클링하는 방식을 제안하였습니다.
The new eco-friendly material Tyvek, which is the basis of the exhibition panels, is a high-density polyethylene fiber, made using only heat and pressure, without additional chemicals. RE;CODE, a fashion brand that designs and produces upcycled products, has proposed a way to upcycle the leftover Tyvek after the close of the 4th Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism.
