A dialogue across decades. Originally designed in 1949 by Edgard Sisto, La Tour stands on the Caracas hill as a testament to Beirut’s modernist spirit. Our intervention wasn’t about change, but about “subtlety”—a reprise of the modernist form.
We preserved the “yellow building” metaphor with a barely reflective yellowish concrete finish—a distant echo of traditional stone translated into the language of concrete. It stands as a silent witness to the intersection of Al Qalaa and Venus streets, bridging the gap between ancestral memory and the unknown future.
