Designed in a land of 6 perches in Katubedda. This house consists of two vehicle parking, double height living area, dinning area, open kitchen, three bed rooms, two bathrooms, lobby areas, multi- functional area, utility room, terrace area. The double height living space, expansive openings and seamless indoor-outdoor connection create a home that is both elegant and naturally inviting while making the space wider within this smaller land plot. This is also designed to celebrate light, space and nature. The expansive landscaped terraces and a carefully balanced palette of materials contribute in creating an elegant yet functional family home.

This is an addition to an existing house located in the suburbs of Bandaragama. The proposed house consists of two separate units in each floor whereas one floor consists of Living area, dinning area, pantry, two bedrooms, one common bathroom. The house itself acts as a soothing element with simple yet elegant interiors. Wider openings are kept to allow optimum natural light and ventilation. The material pallet also supports in creating soothing ambiance to its’ occupants.

The main intention was to transform the building exterior as well as interior in order to maximize functionality and aesthetic appearance while fulfilling clients’ goals. In doing this, each and every space was carefully transformed with a touch of elegance ensuring maximum light and ventilation, in and out connectivity maintaining cohesive renovation. Also, cost effective solutions were implemented in renovating the building to a home that fits modern living needs.
