Seylan Bank Club House_ Seylan Tower, Colombo 3

This thoughtfully designed 1,900+ sq.ft space, located on the top floor of Seylan Tower, captures expansive views of Port City, the ocean, and the surrounding urban landscape.

Envisioned as a versatile venue for both formal and informal gatherings, the design balances elegance with warmth through a refined palette of browns, beige, white, and black accents. Layered elements such as curated greenery, patterned carpets, and marble-finished coffee tables introduce depth and visual interest.
A feature CNC-cut wall and a carefully crafted ceiling—highlighted with detailed panels and integrated lighting—add a sense of character and dimension to the space.

The result is an interior that feels welcoming yet sophisticated, designed to offer comfort, visual richness, and a lasting impression.

We’re currently working on a luxury 5-star hotel in the suburbs of Colombo. The development features 100+ deluxe rooms and suites.

In addition to all-day dining facilities, the hotel will offer two specialty restaurants, pool, bar and lifestyle complex with enhanced the guest experiences alongside thoughtfully curated common spaces that open out to rare views of surrounding landscapes and greenery.

Our directors and project team are actively on site, closely reviewing progress and consulting to ensure every detail aligns with the vision.

Set to become a distinctive hospitality destination in the area—more to come.

Bridging Waterfront Visions: From Barangaroo to Colombo Port City

A recent visit to Sydney’s Barangaroo and Darling Harbour served as a powerful reminder of how thoughtful urban design can transform a city’s relationship with the water. Walking along the Barangaroo precinct, the integration of high-end commercial spaces with accessible, vibrant public parklands is a masterclass in modern waterfront regeneration.

When we started design brainstorming in 2022 in the height of Sri Lanka's financial crisis, creating meaningful urban spaces in Colombo was as far away a fantacy as one could imagine. But dreaming big is what construction and development is always about. Together with Thilan Wijesunghe and Theekshana Jayarathne from TWC Corp and international architectural design collaborators from Singapore, that is what we did on behalf of visionary initiatives by Browns Investments Plc as the owner & developer.

For KWA Architects as collaborative architects and lead interior & landscape designers, these iconic Sydney landmarks have been a key source of inspiration as we design the Port City Marina and the Marina Commercial Development.

The Vision for Colombo
Just as Barangaroo redefined Sydney’s western edge, we are looking forward to the completion of the Colombo Port City Marina. This project isn't just about infrastructure; it represents a milestone for Sri Lanka:

A First for the Nation: Creating Sri Lanka’s first dedicated Marina waterfront urban recreational space.
The "Barangaroo Effect": Implementing a mix of world-class retail, dining, and pedestrian-centric design that invites the city back to the sea.

Urban Synergy: Blending the functional requirements of a working marina with the lifestyle aspirations of a global city.

The success of Sydney’s waterfront lies in its ability to be both a commercial powerhouse and a community soul. We are excited to bring that same energy to Colombo, setting a new benchmark for urban living and recreation in the region.
