Bedroom to Office Transformation 🪚🔨 | Kandana - Jaela....

What was once a quiet bedroom is now a vibrant creative workspace. This project in Kandana began with a simple idea — to reimagine a small double-height room into a functional, inspiring studio office.

The generous height allowed us to introduce a timber attic level, turning unused volume into a warm, relaxed leisure zone above the main workspace. The lower level is designed for focus and collaboration with light wood textures, acoustic wall panels, and soft green tones creating a calm, comfortable atmosphere for work.

We played with a palette of light green, white, grey, and black, blending natural warmth with a contemporary edge. The soundproofing beneath the deck ensures quiet concentration even in a compact urban setting.

Every detail from the hanging planters to the rhythm of timber and light was designed to make this small space feel open, creative, and alive.

Proposed Residence @ Matara...... 🏡🏡

Set within a 15-perch plot, this two-story residence is designed to create a meaningful connection between modern living and the natural surroundings. The home accommodates four bedrooms, spacious living and dining areas, a kitchen and pantry, a study space, and a terrace — offering both functionality and warmth for everyday living.

The material palette was carefully chosen to blend seamlessly with the environment. Cement-rendered surfaces, exposed brick textures, and natural stone finishes create a calm and earthy aesthetic that reflects honesty in design and texture. Each element is thoughtfully composed to capture natural light and ventilation while maintaining privacy and balance.

Architecturally, the project bridges modern and contemporary sensibilities — clean lines and open spaces combine with tactile materials and soft tones to craft a timeless, grounded atmosphere.

Sharing a recent interior design we completed for a cozy villa in the tropical setting of Unawatuna. This space was designed to feel warm, modern, and peaceful.

This space was thoughtfully designed to blend functionality with warmth, maximizing natural light and creating a seamless connection between living, cooking, and resting zones. Every detail—from the warm timber tones to the ambient lighting and minimalist forms—aims to reflect a calm, contemporary coastal aesthetic.

Revitalizing Tradition with Modern Elegance – A House Renovation in Nugegoda

We recently had the opportunity to transform this beautiful residence in Nugegoda, Sri Lanka, breathing new life into its spaces while staying true to its character. Our design focused on blending contemporary aesthetics with natural elements, creating a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Project Development Process – Renovation Project at Kandy, Sri Lanka.

This transformation of a three-story hillside home highlights our comprehensive design process, from concept to realization:

✔️ Existing Structure Analysis
The project began with a detailed assessment of the existing house, carefully studying its structural elements, spatial flow, and integration with the steep terrain. This helped us identify opportunities for improvement while maintaining structural integrity.

✔️ SketchUp Model for Design Visualization.
Our proposed design was brought to life in 3D using SketchUp, allowing us to explore ideas and test materials, textures, and forms. The model was crucial for visualizing the seamless blending of modern aesthetics with the natural surroundings.

✔️ Final Rendering.
We refined the design further and created realistic renderings to illustrate the proposed façade and landscaping. This stage highlighted the harmonious interplay of earthy tones, textured materials, and greenery, creating a welcoming yet sophisticated atmosphere.

Our involvement extended beyond design, ensuring that the final proposal aligned with the client’s vision, functional needs, and site context.

We are proud to see this project evolve from concept to reality, showcasing our passion for innovative and sustainable design solutions.

Designed on a steep slope, the project harmonizes the different levels of the house, ensuring fluid spatial transitions and maximizing natural light and ventilation.

◾ Functional Layout:
The ground floor is dedicated to parking, the first floor houses a luxurious salon, while the upper floors include living spaces, three bedrooms, and a roof terrace with panoramic views.

◾ Façade Enhancement:
The façade integrates earthy tones, textured materials, and lush greenery to create a modern yet timeless exterior that blends seamlessly with the hillside landscape.

◾ Luxurious Interior:
The interiors feature a harmonious palette, sustainable materials, and custom furniture to achieve an elegant and welcoming ambiance. Each room is designed to evoke a sense of comfort and sophistication.
