"Crafted for Elevated Living"
Perched on a naturally contoured site in the serene hills of Kandy, The Layered House is a contemporary private retreat designed for a high-profile businessman seeking calm away from a demanding lifestyle.
Rather than flattening the land, the design embraces its natural level differences-transforming the terrain into a beautifully layered living experience. Each shift in elevation defines space, creating depth, movement, and a seamless flow between levels.
At the heart of the home lies a tranquil central courtyard -an open-to-sky sanctuary that fills the interiors with natural light, encourages cross ventilation, and visually connects every layer of the house. It becomes both the emotional and environmental core of the residence. The Layered House is more than a residence. It is an experience where terrain, light, and architecture merge into a calm and immersive sanctuary.

Presenting our latest commercial venture - Mangala Textile, a pioneering men’s fashion outlet redefining architectural norms in urban Sri Lanka.
This bold and visionary façade merges minimalism with innovation, showcasing a sculptural composition of folded forms. The elevation is wrapped in a rich, matte dull copper finish - a futuristic metallic tone that shifts with natural light - juxtaposed seamlessly against the calm solidity of vertical cement-textured planes. This dynamic contrast evokes both strength and elegance.
The elevation’s angular geometry is not just aesthetic - it expresses a next-level design ethos, where form, texture, and proportion unite to deliver an iconic brand presence on the street.

Personalized Residence for Mr. Chamila Athapattu
Horombawa, Narammala

A home woven into a coconut grove this design embraces the serenity of swaying palms, opening into a lush courtyard where a tranquil pond forms the heart of the residence.

This residence is envisioned as a retreat where water, trees, and space come together in harmony. Embraced by a river and tall coconut palms.
At the heart of the design lies a serene courtyard with a reflective pond. Hanging plants soften the edges of the slab, cascading down like a living curtain, while a Buddha statue placed at the far end brings a sense of calm and contemplation.
The house opens itself to the landscape framing views of the Lake, filtering breezes through shaded verandas, and weaving the rhythm of the coconut grove into everyday life. It is not a structure imposed on nature, but one that breathes with it, balancing openness and intimacy, reflection and dwelling.
