The following proposal is a sprawling single-story villa designed as a tranquil retreat for a family of four in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka. Inspired by the Zen principles of simplicity and connection with nature, the residence embraces a minimalist approach to create a haven for relaxation and rejuvenation. Earthy tones and muted colours dominate the material palette, echoing the natural beauty of the surrounding environment. Robust materials were carefully selected for their durability and timeless aesthetic, drawing inspiration from the enduring spirit of Japanese design.

The heart of the residence lies in a central Japanese-inspired garden courtyard. This serene space fosters a sense of connection with nature, blurring the lines between interior and exterior living. Each living area, including bedrooms and common spaces, will strategically orient towards the courtyard, promoting a holistic experience. Locally sourced materials, natural ventilation strategies, and passive cooling techniques will be explored to minimize the environmental impact of the residence.

The following proposal is a sprawling single-story villa designed as a tranquil retreat for a family of four in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka. Inspired by the Zen principles of simplicity and connection with nature, the residence embraces a minimalist approach to create a haven for relaxation and rejuvenation. The following interior design project embodies corporate sophistication and ethos at its core with its minimalist approach that prioritizes functionality and elegance. Drawing inspiration from the company's signature brand identity, the design theme incorporates shades of blue to create a tranquil work atmosphere. The layout was organized using simple lines and uncluttered spaces to promote efficiency while recurring timber elements add warmth and continuity to the theme of the design, resulting in an enriching work environment for our client.

Conceived as a humble sanctuary for the workers at the Thalawakele Tea Estate, the following Chapel is a design that prioritizes simplicity and functionality. Its open pavilion layout emphasizes durability with simple blockwork construction, white-washed walls, and polished cement flooring. Timber columns and Calicut roofing tiles add details that connect the Chapel to its natural surroundings, while a prominent aperture in the shape of a Cross symbolizes faith, creating a serene place of prayer amidst the tea estate's natural beauty.

Located amidst South Sudan's agricultural lands, the following Primary School Design was envisioned as a beacon of sustainable education.

Selected as one of the Top 50 entries at the Kaira Looro 2023 Competition, the design was approached with simplicity and flexibility in mind.

The classrooms were designed as open spaces, where the students and the teachers feel empowered to shape their learning environment.

At the heart of the design is a small farm and an amphitheatre, which fosters the community spirit. Community involvement is further incorporated into the design through its structural system, which utilizes locally sourced materials like rammed earth and rosewood timber, enabling it to be constructed by the local community members using only basic skills. However, local craftsmanship is incorporated into the design to elevate the schools’ aesthetics, with intricate details in ceilings, windows, and doors showcasing the community's rich heritage.
