The "Trend" House _ 🍀✨

This project began as an addition and alteration to an already half-completed home—bringing both interior and exterior together into a cohesive design that reflects the owner’s personal style.

With limited room for major changes, the focus was on working smartly with what was already built. Existing elements were carefully refined and rebalanced rather than replaced, allowing the design to evolve naturally.

The exterior retains much of its original structure, enhanced to create a more unified and clean architectural expression. Subtle interventions helped elevate the overall look, giving the house a more complete and polished finish.

The design respects the available space, maintaining the openness of the landscape while enhancing functionality and value through compact, efficient planning.

“Tropical Nest”
A new residential project taking shape in the Gampaha District 🌿
Designed on a 20-perch plot, this four-bedroom family home carefully balances functionality, budget consciousness, and a strong connection to nature. The planning focuses on achieving an optimal floor area that directly supports daily living, minimising underutilised spaces that could lead to increased construction costs later.
A lush, green-biased garden concept surrounds the house, softening the built form and creating a calm living environment. The architectural form is developed to follow function, while the roof responds to the tropical sun path, improving daylight pe*******on and supporting better solar integration into the inner spaces.
A home where practicality, climate responsiveness, and greenery come together in harmony.

The Veil — 2.0 (The Highland Veil) – Filtering Light, Framing Life🦋🌿

This is a recent project scheme currently in progress, situated in the highlands of Sri Lanka. This three-bedroom up-country residence with a pool builds upon the design essence of The Veil, the project that first drew the client to our work.
Echoing its predecessor, The Veil — 2.0 features a living green skin—an adaptive vegetated envelope that filters light, softens form, and creates a protective buffer between the home, the pool area, and the surrounding landscape. The design captures the duality of protection and freedom offered by the vegetation. Dense vertical planting forms a gentle barrier to the outside while allowing framed views, natural airflow, and shifting patterns of filtered daylight to enrich everyday life.
Our approach for this project focuses on translating the client’s affinity for “nature as shelter” into architecture—using greenery to define spatial boundaries, mediate privacy, and guide the flow between indoor comfort and the openness of the pool court and mountain landscape. The result is a home that feels both embraced by nature and liberated within it, carrying forward the spirit of The Veil through a place-specific evolution.

“Dual Dwelling, Singular Spirit”
Residence @ Kadawatha, LK

This new architectural project is a two-story, 4-bedroom house situated in Kadawatha, a prominent urban area near the heart of Colombo. The home is designed to offer both functionality and comfort, accommodating the client and their parents in separate yet interconnected living spaces. The two units are linked by an open courtyard, fostering a seamless flow between shared and private areas. The central core spaces follow an open-plan design, promoting a strong connection to the lush greenery surrounding the property. The design reflects the client’s affinity for nature, incorporating greening, openness, and tropical inspiration to enhance passive ventilation. The home occupies less than 60% of the 10-perch plot, with careful orientation that optimises the use of space and natural elements. This project aims to balance urban convenience with a strong connection to nature, creating a harmonious and comfortable living environment.
