A day spent on the water is rarely a bad day.

This week has been intense, with the installation and completion of a residential project in Monaco. After months of planning, coordination and problem-solving, it was incredibly satisfying to see everything come together so beautifully.

Now, I switch hats and step onboard a yacht to discuss the potential refresh of some exterior spaces.

What I enjoy about working across both residential and marine projects is that the underlying principles are often the same, yet the challenges are completely different.

There is something exciting about stepping onboard and seeing the potential to reimagine a space, regardless of its size or location.

Ermanno — Port Hercule, Monaco.

What began as a furnishing project became something more considered: limewash walls in soft, muted tones, sculptural lighting in place of artwork, and a material palette of limestone, mohair, bouclé and wool throughout.

Rooms defined by texture and tone, balanced by light-filled spaces for everyday life.

Maison S — a summer villa in the hills above Nice, reworked for an international family as a place to slow down.

Custom joinery, layered fabrics, and terraces designed as a continuation of the rooms rather than a threshold between inside and out.

The kind of house that feels effortless to be in — which is never accidental.

Two days in after the launch of Quinton and already it feels less like a new name and more like the right one.

Quinton Marine carries forward the yacht interior work across the Western Mediterranean — now sitting alongside Quinton Interiors, under a name that reflects the practice as it actually is.

The brief wasn’t a full refit. New dining furniture, yes — but the sofa was already there. The work was in making everything belong together.

A new fabric scheme across the soft furnishings. The dining chairs pulled into the same palette. Surfaces cleared of everything that didn’t earn its place.

The result is something that feels less like a yacht interior and more like a mood. Warm tones against open water. A land palette meeting a sea one. The kind of space that makes you slow down without quite knowing why.

A permanent emotion of what sunset looks and feels like.
