Architecture and interior design project for a private residence in Zwevegem, Belgium.

The brief called for a private residence capable of housing both domestic life and a fully independent professional studio, two programs distinct in rhythm and character, yet belonging to the same family and the same ground.

The response is two elongated volumes arranged in an open L, their relationship defining a sheltered courtyard that mediates between the intimacy of the home and the quieter discipline of work. Each volume carries a pitched thatched roof, a material rooted in the agricultural vernacular of the Flemish countryside, here rendered with a precision that reads as both ancient and entirely contemporary.

Interior design project for a tiny apartment in New York City.

The design intention for this tiny New York City apartment was to create a home that feels serene, functional, and visually expansive despite its limited footprint. By linking the living room, dining area, and kitchen into one continuous spatial sequence, the apartment allows light, materials, and proportions to flow uninterrupted.

Material consistency plays a central role in making a compact home feel generous. A palette of warm wood, soft neutrals, and subtle textures extends seamlessly from the kitchen into the living and sleeping area, reinforcing spatial unity. The muted concrete flooring anchors the interior, visually enlarging the space while supporting the apartment’s contemporary minimalism. Each furniture piece is selected for its architectural clarity: clean lines, honest materials, and quiet detailing.

The overarching goal of the project was to craft a home that feels grounded, timeless, and emotionally spacious. Through careful proportions, a coherent material language, and a commitment to essential forms, the apartment transcends its size and becomes a quiet retreat within the city.

| 𝗢𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗸 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲

Architecture and interior design concept project for a getaway house in the mountains.

The design is intentionally quiet and modest, allowing the natural world around it to take the lead. The idea was simple, create a space that feels warm, peaceful, and in tune with its surroundings.

One of the most important parts of the project was opening the house up to the outdoors. Large windows and sliding doors frame views of the mountains and forest, letting light flood the interior and giving the feeling that you’re still outside even when you’re in. On warmer days, the house can open almost entirely, turning the inside into part of the landscape.

Designed with intention and reverence for its setting, it provides a soulful experience of rest and retreat, where every detail fosters peace, simplicity, and a sense of belonging to the natural world. The goal behind the design wasn’t about making the house stand out, it was about creating a space that feels right.
