Huangzhitang Hotspring Lounge
with Housmart -Shanghai (上海慧舍室内设计公司）

The Bar Lounge of Huangzhitang Hotspring was a renovation project, located in Qingdao china, initiating the inspiration of translating the water of the bathhouse into a design concept. Curves, mirrors and different lights were adopted to support this concept, thus integrating diverse sensory experiences of water surface as a whole interior space. The Fine and delicate materials imply the quality of the space in a luxury but modest way, as the High-reflective materials along the wall and bar area, bringing the water scenery of the hotspring into the interior space.

Tokey King Family Park
with Housmart -Shanghai (上海慧舍室内设计公司）

The Tokey King Family Park is located on the 3rd floor of the Maoye Plaza, Qingjiangpu District, Huai’an, China, covering an entire area of 3000 square meters. The aesthetic concept of the project was derived from the abstraction of scenario modes, which focused on coordinated integration of colors and composition, inspired by natural views and pursuing an ultimate creation of space experience, atmosphere, and impact, and brings a surreal fairytale beyond imagination to life. It is divided into Reading Area, Dinning Area, Climbing Area, Party Room and Spa, while inviting kids to run and discover features such as a carousel, hidden tree-houses, slides and ball pits.

Exhibition Vision:
Covid-19 was a disruption, and as design education in China moved instantly online, three new virtual studios of Xi’an Jiaotong- Liverpool University discovered a new intimacy of learning space, and began to experiment afresh in how to draw, think, and model online. This exhibition presents for the first time three post-covid-19 ‘virtual studios’— ‘Caravanserai’, ‘Jiangnan Park: a Green Heart for the Yangtze River Delta megacity region’, and ‘ZeroBurial’. In a digital environment the art of drawing can find new expression. As a survey of post-covid-19 virtual studio design education, this exhibition celebrates new methods and techniques of hybrid analogue/digital drawing, animation, and modelling, combing the traditional with the digital.
