Site Visit Policy
A Site visits is an essential part of the design process and is carried out upon the client’s request. The visit is subject to a professional service fee, which varies depending on location. Kindly contact us for details.
Refundable Fee Clause:
Please note that our site visit fee is fully refundable should VF Architects be officially appointed to undertake the Design Stage of your project. In that case, the fee will be deducted from the total design service fee.
Purpose and Value of a Site Visit
Our fee reflects the expertise, time, and resources dedicated to each visit. A typical site visit, lasting between one (1) to three (3) hours, includes:
1. A detailed discussion to understand your vision and expectations
2. Assistance in defining a preliminary project brief
3. An assessment of site-specific conditions, constraints, and opportunities
4. Preliminary guidance on potential project costs
5. Professional advice on required consultants (e.g., land surveyors, engineers)
6. Consideration of logistical expenses (e.g., transport and fuel)
These steps ensure that we provide you with informed, practical advice from the very beginning.
Due Diligence Before Purchasing Land or Property
We also advise clients to exercise caution when considering land or property purchases, especially when dealing with:
• Advertisements from private sellers, Morcellements, or gated developments
• Incomplete or misleading information about the land or house on offer
