At H2O Drilling Engineering and Mineral Resources Consult Malawi we are determined to provide water to rural communities because most mothers and expecting women shouldn't have to struggle to have something that is so basic! Here are for reasons why:

🌊🌊💧Mothers should be prioritized with access to water because they play a crucial role in the health and well-being of their families. Mothers are typically responsible for the daily tasks of cooking, cleaning, and providing care for their children, and all of these tasks require access to clean water. Without access to water, mothers are unable to maintain basic hygiene practices, prepare meals, or provide their children with clean water for drinking and bathing.

❤️✨ Mothers are often the primary caregivers for children who may be more vulnerable to water-borne illnesses and diseases. Access to safe and adequate water supplies can help to prevent these illnesses and keep both mothers and children healthy.

🌍🌎🌏 In many communities, it is common for women and girls to bear the burden of collecting water for the household. This task can be time-consuming and physically demanding, and can prevent women from pursuing education or income-generating opportunities. By providing mothers with access to water, we can help reduce their workload and increase their ability to participate fully in society.

Warm welcome from a community in Thyolo district! We had such a bittersweet feeling about the community dancing and chanting to welcome us. I was particularly heart broken that a majority of rural communities have to dance and rejoice because they are excited to get access water, which should be a basic human right. One would think that in this era, water would be made accessible to all... On the bright side, something special is happening to this community through and we will disclose that in posts to come!
