The Ensenada Succulent Society (ESS) exists to promote education about succulents, cacti, and gardeni We are operating virtually at this time.

The ESS is a division of the Compañeros de Baja Norte AC, a legal Mexican charitable organization, and meets at their facility in Ensenada. ESS members are required to join the Compañeros (USD$20/yr).

Always buy your plants from a grower or nursery....NEVER take them from public or private lands. A newly-released documentary short explains the problem of these succulent thefts, evidenced in CA and elsewhere. Just 18 minutes but worth watching. Award-nominated.

Just a reminder regarding our upcoming plant swap.....to pay in advance, be sure to use our correct email address for Paypal, which is [email protected] . Some people are mistakenly typing BC instead of AC....or are trying to use "ñ instead of n. We have had many people pay successfully using Paypal, but you've got to use the right address! Here's a beautiful plant I bought at our last meeting. Show us your succulents! (And bonus points to anyone who can identify this plant :-). The next Ensenada Succulent Society meeting will be on Saturday March 6th and we will announce details for that next week.

Thanks to everyone who joined us yesterday for breakfast and a greenhouse visit at El Jardín Suculento, at the Alternativa Orgánica facility in centro. We had 15 people participate in a safe, outdoor environment, and received 7 new membership applications, with a couple more still to be received. Look for info on next month's meeting to be coming soon! In the meantime, enjoy these photos, and keep on gardening! (Want to participate? PM us!)
