Excited to announce the launch of my new Substack blog, where I'll be sharing reflections, research, and explorations on architecture, landscape architecture, and other areas that continue to inspire and challenge my thinking.

To begin, I’ll be republishing a selection of past newspaper articles, essays, academic papers, and personal reflections—pieces that have shaped my journey and continue to resonate. These will lay the groundwork for new, timely writings that I look forward to sharing soon.

En el marco del Congreso de Arquitectura “How Space Can…?”, organizado por el Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Querétaro, Daniel Savedra Olivo se realizó un taller coordinado por Camila Ulloa y Karina Caballero, fundadoras de "Otros Entregables", una valiosa plataforma que recopila y difunde proyectos que no encajan dentro de la práctica arquitectónica tradicional. https://open.spotify.com/show/4sgv45PA0XdtjsjVRYDI8t

Con el acompañamiento de las arquitectas Daniela Arias Laurino y Cynthia Deng, se construyó colectivamente un manifiesto a partir de una poderosa pregunta:

¿Qué cambiarías si pudieras rediseñar lo que significa ser arquitectx hoy en día?

La provocación se abrió a múltiples voces, invitando a responderla en 30 palabras o 250 caracteres.
Al enfrentarla, recordé un texto que escribí en 2011 para la convocatoria del "Architectural League of New York", bajo el tema “It’s Different”. Catorce años después, al releerlo, confirmo que mi postura sigue vigente: es necesario cuestionar y redefinir el rol de lxs arquitectxs, desafiando el status quo, y ampliando los límites de la disciplina para abordarla de diversas maneras, y generar nuevas visiones.

“Ser arquitectx hoy exige pensamiento crítico y compromiso social, integrando saberes para resolver desafíos reales, imaginar futuros deseables y justos, y priorizar equidad, sostenibilidad y cuidado cotidiano sobre el espectáculo”
