Pumping at work is honestly such a chore with all the logistics required, but I'm glad that it has been made easier with hands-free wearable pumps! The best part about this Imani pump is that it only has TWO main parts to assemble (other brands usually have 4-6 parts), which makes the washing & assembling extremely fuss-free! πŸ’―

I also like that the cups are fully transparent, so I can see if the ni**le is positioned correctly and make sure that there is milk coming out so it won't be a wasted pump session πŸ˜† At home, it can transform into a hospital-grade pump once connected to the iBox!

Overall, I think this 2-in-1 handsfree pump makes pumping alot more convenient and less daunting for EP mums, and it is also the perfect setup for those who are travelling overseas and want something compact to bring along!

Bonus: the connecting tube is the same as other major brands of pumps, so you can actually mix and match the way you connect them e.g. Spectra pump + Imani handsfree cup, or Imani iBox + Maymom pump parts

The Imani iBox Pro 2-in-1 is available at 😊

We cheated and added some water, but it still turned out really sweet and flavourful!!

Ingredients:
Cabbage
Onion
Apple
Carrot
Chicken
Red date
Wolfberries

Just chop up the ingredients, throw everything into the pot and pressure cook for 30min. No seasoning added so it's toddler-friendly too!

This mini pressure cooker can hold up to 800ml and is suitable for 1-2pax. Find it on shop*e with code BSY-GUY-EXC 😊

Back when we were first-time parents with jiejie, we were totally clueless about how baby's sleep works and we made so many mistakes that affected her sleep 🫣

I remember there were many times she got super cranky and was crying for "no reason" and we thought she just wanted attention. Looking back now, it was probably because we lost track of time and didn't realise that she needed to nap (already entered overtired stage) 😭

Baby's sleep is truly a complicated thing and it takes alot of calculations and practice to come up with a suitable schedule.

p.s. do consider engaging a sleep trianer to plan out the nap timings properly for your baby!! There are so many other factors and considerations involved 🫩

The whole newborn stage with our first child VS second child is seriously SO DIFFERENT and I definitely prefer the second one πŸ˜‚ Having prior experience made a world of difference and we are much clearer on what type of system works for us.

I'm super glad that we got help from a sleep trainer to set strong sleep foundations for meimei at 2months old, which made life so much more enjoyable now for both parents and baby! It is a closely guided step-by-step programme with clear instructions to follow and on-the-spot tweaks depending on how baby responses. It is totally different from simply googling "how to sleep train your baby".

Those who're interested can book a call with (link in her bio) and let her know you came from HSH for 5% off! Package rates can be found on her website restwithbeth.com

p.s. answered some common FAQs about this before, do take a look at my highlights named "sleep training" if you're interested to find out more!

Disclaimer: I understand that everyone has different parenting styles and I’m not asking you to follow my style. Just sharing what worked for meimei and hope it can help some of you who are searching for solutions πŸ™πŸΌ

Looking back at the whole journey of going from one to two kids, gotta say that we're handling it much better the second time thanks to our prior experience. Albeit the pregnancy itself was harder, but thankfully everything else was sooo much better!

I think the biggest factor that made the post-partum journey so smooth was choosing to go to JB for confinement the 1st month and then continuing with a nanny at home the 2nd month. It was money well spent in exchange for my sanity and restful recovery!

How was it like for fellow mummies of 2 (or more?). Was it easier or harder for you the 2nd time?

Rating: 1 being the easiest and 10 being the hardest

There were many ups and downs throughout this whole motherhood journey and the ones listed here are only the beginning πŸ˜‚

Still learning new things everyday and adapting to a toddler who's turning 2yo this month! (Hello terrible two). Despite the struggles, gotta say that motherhood has been an extremely fulfilling journey though and I have zero regrets choosing to become one ❀️

Part 2 of useful baby items that are severely underrated!!

1. Starfish zip swaddle
Don't bother getting traditional muslin wraps!! Those are complicated to wrap and baby tends to break free 100x a day. It is also troublesome to change diaper with the traditional wraps. This modern zip starfish swaddle is SOO MUCH easier to use and idiot-proof. Baby feels snug and can sleep well in it! πŸ‘πŸ»

2. Baby nose picker
Nobody taught us how to pick out bo**ers in baby's small little nostrils, and using cotton buds tend to push the bo**er even deeper in. This nose picker is baby-safe and easy to use! Now baby can breathe more easily with bo**ers removed!

3. P*e pads
It is super common to have p*e/poop leaks especially with poonami. Having disposable p*e pads to line the changing mat and mattress helps to capture the mess and make cleaning up faster. Do note that this hack is only useful when baby is immobile. Once they start flipping and turning, the p*e pads will tend to shift around.

4. Freezable cooler bag
For mummies who're dealing with heavy ice packs and bottles shifting around in a traditional cooler bag, this is made for you!! Just pop the whole bag into the freezer and use directly. It can keep breastmilk cold for 6-8hrs! We use this to bring bb's milk to infant care daily :)
